There is a new NextPVR build due anytime now. I've made some tweaks which will hopefully help with this issue you're seeing with DVB-S2 over SAT>IP. Either way, once this build is installed, I'll be in a position to be able to give you updates to test.

Great, I am looking forward to it...

Brilliant ! :-)    The new server version  (realased today) solved the channel scan <-> Exip problem.  Now channels are found at it seems that over-the-air epg is also fine  (from what I can tell two or three hours after installing).   Thanks and congratulations to the team!

....unfortunately....  another problem appeared with this NextPvr server version:
It seems that while watching tv, everytime that a new instance of these "rolling"  .ts files is created,  this error occurs:

2021-06-01 14:35:33.579 [DEBUG][7] deleting C:\Users\Public\Videos\live-Das Erste-10652-2.ts.map

2021-06-01 14:35:33.580 [ERROR][7] Writer can't remove .map file: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\Public\Videos\live-Das Erste-10652-2.ts.map' because it is being used by another process.

Kodi stops playing then ... obviously :-D   Never had that before.  As experiment I decreased live tv buffer to 1 minute and now it happens after just a few seconds ... it's reproduceable.

Don't know, do you want me to create a new thread ?

Otherwise....NextPvr and Kodi logs are attached...

Cheers
Rudi

....hmmm.... just thinking... i found this thread

https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=60453

that describes a similar problem and you (Martin) posted that it could be due to poor wireless networking.... although different setup. Let me try to test this with the LAN cable attached....

edit: no difference with LAN cable... Undecided

This is positive and sub will need to look at it (and eventually remove some spam from the logging). I think your first thought is correct, the rolling file seems to be an issue. I also notice that you don't seem to have the default rolling buffer size since I see <SlipSeconds>60</SlipSeconds> Could you go to Settings->General and increase the Minutes to 20, as I am guessing that it for some reason it is just 1 right now.

If it fails after about 6 minutes then try boosting the time to 180 or higher for now.

Yes, it happens after 6 or 7 minutes with the default settings.  I decreased it to 1 minute in order to run faster into the error and copy the log ;-)

180 minutes or higher ... yes, for this test system where I have the new NextPvr installed this would be OK.   On my other computer which is for TV there's still an older version of NextPvr running with the .m3u file.    Works stable, so I leave it until there is a fix, otherwise my wife will get me shot  Big Grin Big Grin

Thanks !

Sub uploaded a patch here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid557282 that should fix this problem.
