I don't get it.  I have separate m3u link for each stream category, Live TV URL is different from Movies, TV Shows etc.  Each have their separate URL.  I've also noticed that when I logon to the webapp, the VOD menu option is avaialble, but once I click on it'll disapear from the menu and there's nothing on the VOD page.  Please see attached screenshot.  My NextPVR server is behind apache web server and I was able to setup a virtual host with Let'sEncrypt SSL certificate so I can access it from outside my home network.  Do you think it could be the cause of my issues?

Thanks!

Just my take on the whole NPVR and VOD....  Even with my i9, 32gb Ram and all SSD's the VOD list from IPTV providers takes about a minute to populate. The screen is black while loading, and the drop down acts funny until the computer loads all the VODs.

I thought the VOD list was supposed to populate you start the server, not dynamically. If you are bringing them in as channels that would be a mistake IMO.

So is this working for anyone ?
I was able to import the list of Live TV channels fine but it's been hanging on " Downloading Movie VOD (61787 vod)" now for about 15 minutes. And that's not counting the series VOD I suppose ?
Thanks !

VOD do load here.

Post your logs and I'll see why it's hanging.

Hi Sub,

Can you let me know what I am missing in my understanding of the NextPVR setup. :-)

I have reinstalled NextPVR and was able to download and view the different channels configured using XC input. I already filtered on the channel groups I am interested in.

The provider has VOD as well, but I cant see anywhere a menu for it to scroll through them or enable it in the configuration settings.

Do I need to do something additionally, or are these VOD part of a channels group and should I find them and also select these for import?

Thanks for clearing this up.

Where are you looking? They only show in the web client on the VOD page and don't make it it Kodi or other clients. If there is no VOD page upload the zipped logs.

As Martin said, it's web only. It should show up as a VOD menu item in the web app, or you can access it directly via http://localhost:8866/vod.html

From that page, I'd usually click the download in the top right of an item, and it'll show up as a recording in any client.

Hi,

I am looking in the NextPVR web interface for the VOD. It was there before for another provider that also had XC url without having to do anything.

With XC it only looks requests movies not series. If you've got no VOD listed, your IPTV provider may not have any, or they may only have series.

m3u8 method will do both series and movies.

Thanks, I will have another look at the channel groups.
