You are right , the file is not empty.
I could copy the 2nd .ts file to another folder before NextPVR could delete the file.

The file is playable and the Live TV Stream is saved in the file as it is supposed to be.

One things I noticed in the logs in this thread is the quality of the signal is quite poor. Do you guys get a lot of pixelation or interruptions in video in the live TV before it stops?

New test this morning: I also was able to copy the 2nd .ts file before it was deleted. It is a playable 10 second file (using VLC). I made sure to select one of the stronger stations, according to the Hauppauge signal monitor this test had an average 31.4 SNR (solid green) with zero errors. I do not see any pixelation or interruptions.

I don't know if this helps, but my temp workaround has been to simply stop the services and rename the NPVR folder in Program Files, then copy an older version of that folder from a previous backup in there (5.0.7 I believe), restart the PC. This allows me to stream without any stoppage, even overnight. I am not changing any settings.

Odd that the Hauppauge tool and what NextPVR sees are so different for the signal quality but sub has said the results in NextPVR cannot be used alone that is why I asked how it looks.

i wondered about my Signal Strength too, but i have no pixelation or any other Problem.

Before i was using Tvheadend on Raspberry Pi  and there i had a good Signal Strength and Quality so i guess it is  a Driver Thingy, because i simple removed the Raspberry Pi and plugged the USB Cable from the Tuner into the Windows PC.
Nothing else changed.

My workaround  by setting Live TV Buffer Time to 400 Miuntes works good so far , but on long term i want to set it to like 1-2 Minutes.

Because i want to use a RAMdisk for the Buffer since i use a old SSD  which my father has used on his TV . 64GB SSD with around 560 TBW... i really wonder why  the SSD is still alive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hope I'm not hijacking but I appear to have the same problem. I rebuilt my machine today and installed the latest release of nextpvr and reconfigured everything from scratch, I can't remember which version of 5.x I had previously.

I have the same issue with live TV stopping at around the 7 minute mark, tested from Kodi and Emby (m3u stream).

I've attached logs in case it helps.

I’m in an Amazon FireTV cube running Kodi 19.1 and Nextpvr v5.1.2.210603, I’m seeing the same behaviour - stream stops after 7 minutes, it does however appear to play without issue if the stream is restarted.

I’ll grab logs in the morning (wife’s watching TV just now) although I won’t be able to make the registry change as I’m not on a PC.

Aside from this I’m finding v5 to run brilliantly, so many thanks for the hard work on this!

So you are seeing this on a non Windows platform?

Correct, to be specific nextPVR runs on a windows 10 PC and streams via Ethernet to various firestick/cube clients.

Sorry haven’t grabbed logs yet - need to read up on how to do it first

OK then that is not correct, the registry change would be for the Windows server as this is a server problem. We haven't seen this issue on non Winodws yet.

Sub probably doesn't need those writer files anymore though.
