First, and most importantly, this seems to work GREAT. Thanks much!

A couple of things I ran into during installation that MIGHT help other noobies. This was all relatively obvious once you ran into errors and I got thru it so obviously not overly difficult. You also MAY need to be admin for some of this.

=============Instructions from OP with my minor additions
1. Unzip the file into the NextPVR program folder
<the actual top level folder, in Windows "program files\NextPVR">
<I seemed to have to stop NextPVR service to be able to do the unzip>

2. From the program folder

a. On Windows, delete TabloTV*.json files and run

TabloTV install <needed to restart service prior to this command>

I can't see why you would need to restart the service to unzip but you will need admin permissions to do unzip. Also yes, the service does need to be running for the install to work, it calls NextPVR API functions.

Glad it is working for you, in many ways the TabloTV tuner is better than the HDHR, I am surprised more Tablo 3 users haven't found it useful.

I never distributed a version of the extra for LE but I have tested it before so I will have a look it should work with a config change. Unfortunately I have been waiting for several weeks for the LE Team to release 7.0.1 for LE 12 so I will be testing on LE13 but I expect the fix is the same (although the Newtonsoft dll is not part of NextPVR v7)

Weird the user who asked the question deleted a post on running the Extra on LE but this should get it working.

cd ~/.kodi/addons/service.nextpvr/nextpvr-bin

but then more setup is required to install the extra file so it probably won't be in v6. To run this manually it is

Does the Tablo Extra support multiple Tablo Tuner Devices? (Specifically a 4-tuner model and a 2-tuner model)

Hi Martin, Thank you for the utility and your time. I'm tying to install TabloTV Extra and getting an error message in bash with  "sudo opt/dotnet/dotnet TabloTV.dll install". It says it's an unhandled exception, can't find 'Newtonsoft.Json, version (so forth)  I'm running the command from the root of the NPVR directory where is see there is a "Newtonsoft.Json.dll" but I don't see a "Newtonsoft.Json" 

This is on raspberry pi running linux, raspian bookworm. Latest NPVR from the website, dotnet 8 which seems to match the NPVR. Trying to install TabloTV-3.0.1.zip. Trying it without nvpr running at the time of install. I'm stuck here until I figure out why it gives an error.  My Tablo is the old Tablo Quad with the 4 tuners. Any help greatly appreciated, Jim

If you unzipped into the program folder the tablo JSON files to point to /opt/nextpvr/system I can give the exact syntax later.
