Kodi does show the dvb subtitles for BBC Olympics extracted from that mux.

Right, but that hasn't been run through NextPVR's PID mapping yet, thats just a complete mux dumped direct from the card.

I'm hoping that sub is going to check it by running it through DeviceHostLinux and seeing if the subtitles come out the other side - this is where I think the problem might be, correct me if I'm wrong Smile

Yes, I'm able to run it as though it was a local broadcast, so will be checking it in NextPVR / DeviceHostLinux.

It's definitely seems like a PID filter problem since your first sample didn't have pid 105 data and the full mux did.

What does the dvb conf file show for "BBC ONE HD"

Hi Martin,

I've got this:

Code:
[BBC ONE HD]
  SERVICE_ID = 17540
  NETWORK_ID = 9018
  TRANSPORT_ID = 4163
  VIDEO_PID = 6601
  AUDIO_PID = 6602 6606
  PID_0b = 7319 7302
  PID_06 = 6605
  PID_05 = 7110 7108
  FREQUENCY = 474167000
  MODULATION = QAM/256
  BANDWIDTH_HZ = 8000000
  INVERSION = AUTO
  CODE_RATE_HP = 2/3
  CODE_RATE_LP = AUTO
  GUARD_INTERVAL = 1/128
  TRANSMISSION_MODE = 32K
  HIERARCHY = NONE
  STREAM_ID = 0
  DELIVERY_SYSTEM = DVBT2

Ah I see you referenced PID 105 though which is BBC2 I think (sorry, this is getting confusing!)

Code:
[BBC TWO HD]
  SERVICE_ID = 17472
  NETWORK_ID = 9018
  TRANSPORT_ID = 32810
  VIDEO_PID = 101
  AUDIO_PID = 102 106
  PID_0b = 7319 7302
  PID_06 = 105
  PID_05 = 7110 7108
  FREQUENCY = 474167000
  MODULATION = QAM/256
  BANDWIDTH_HZ = 8000000
  INVERSION = AUTO
  CODE_RATE_HP = 2/3
  CODE_RATE_LP = AUTO
  GUARD_INTERVAL = 1/128
  TRANSMISSION_MODE = 32K
  HIERARCHY = NONE
  STREAM_ID = 0
  DELIVERY_SYSTEM = DVBT2

Full file attached for reference (eventually! had to zip it to get it to accept)

Only zip files can be attached but that PID_06 setting is good to see.

Yeah sorry got there eventually with the attachment. Yep PID_06 does seem to match the subtitle PID for both those channels so that's an encouraging start Smile

For BBC TWO HD, basically libdvbv5 is only claiming to know about these pids:

Code:
VIDEO_PID = 101
AUDIO_PID = 102 106
PID_05 = 7110 7108

There is no sign of these being mentioned in the info being returned from libdvbv5:
Code:
PID_0b = 7319 7302
PID_06 = 6605

Isn't the conf file created using libdvbv5?

Yes, but I've found discussion indicating it only reads back the last line that starts with "PID_", effectively throwing away the rest. NextPVR doesn't read the file diectly, it uses the libdvbv5 api.
