Keep Awake During Remote Viewing of a Recording

Thanks since there is no persistent connection with Kodi (and most clients) it makes sense that it goes to sleep after playback.  You would need an app with a rule that any network activity keeps you PC awake then the pvr.nextpvr heartbeat that is sent every minute would keep your PC awake The downside is your PC would never sleep while Kodi is running.

Are you saying there is a way to send a heartbeat from Kodi?  Because that would achieve what I am wanting to do.  I will only have Kodi running when I am watching a recording.  I don't want the PC to sleep, when I have Kodi running.

While pvr.nextpvr is running there is network traffic every minute. The heartbeat is turned off during recordings but I thought your latest issue was about trying to schedule a recording.

The issues is my PC with NextPVR going to sleep while watching a recording remotely from an android version of Kodi. The network traffic of NextPVR streaming the recording to the remotely connected Kodi is not keep the PC awake. It goes to sleep 5 minutes into the recording, due to the Windows 11 setting to sleep after 5 minutes.

Yes ok, I have that issue on Windows 11 too, but my point was after playing back recordings or live TV there is no guarantee that your 5 minute sleeps setting starts when playback ends.
