Audio/video Sync Problem

NextPVR.exe doesn't support AC-4 audio so it won't be the ATSC source. Logs are what we have needed.

I have occasionally had sync issues with some iptv sources. I use a program called TS Doctor from Cypheros that rebuilds the PCR and fixes other sync issues.

While my recordings are ATSC, I suspect my area is not using 3.0 yet (I'm not sure how to determine that???).

I've finally gotten back to this thread and I'm still experiencing the problem.  I recently moved my antenna to address a problem with reception of a specific channel, and at the same time did a firmware upgrade to the Flex 4k, and I'm now running NextPVR 6.1.1.221106 on a Windows 11 system with the latest upgrades.  I simply don't know enough to help myself... sorry!

We watched a recording last night and I'm still having sync issues, so I told my wife to not delete the program.  I've uploaded it to https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z43-kgo...sp=sharing.

The file only has a few error and it should be very playable however I can't get audio with v6, v5 seems to play it ok.

Note I stopped using NextPVR.exe many years ok for since Kodi and h/w players have always worked more consistently from version to version for me.

Interesting... I get audio with v6... but with the sync problem.

Also interesting... I'll try to get my wife to switch from NextPVR.exe. Would you say the Kodi method is better than the browser interface?

I don't use the browser interface for playback beyond just testing. It is great for scheduling and recording, and good for multi-platform setup but I like using a PVR style interface with remote for playback.

Kodi PVR is an acquired taste, but many people like it. I like the NextPVR GUI better which is why I use a class of clients called UI clients that run on many platforms. You might want to see if nlite https://nextpvr.com/client.zip (don't use nlite-32) helps.

I would echo Martin's comments. Don't use the web browser interface for regular use. And I wouldn't go to Kodi unless you were already using it for other things. My favorite UIs (that I use all the time) are the UI Clients (in order of preference/usage: uidroid, Roku, nlite).

THAT'S the truth!!!  While we use it, and I've even got my wife to use it for a couple of things, I'm definitely not fond of it.

I installed a Kodi client and the interface doesn't seem intuitive to me.... but, and that's a big one... the audio sync problem doesn't show it's ugly head in that video I mentioned!

I hate the Kodi UI with the heat of a million burning suns, but for the last year or two I have been unsuccessful in getting the audio and video to sync in NextPVR. So we begrudgingly use Kodi, while swearing at it.

There is always knewc UI Client on Kodi and if you want you can hide Kodi completely so the heat can't be that bad.
