Solved: Finally got this sorted.

I added to the NextPVR docker template "Extra Paramëters" --device=/dev/dvb  -e LANG="en_NZ.UTF-8" -e LANGUAGE="en_NZ.UTF-8" that UnRaid lanches to install the docker container.

What took me some time, was that I thought I could edit the parameters, stop the container, then restart.  WRONG! 
I had to remove the container (but didn't have to delete the image) then re-run the template that installs the container and it is all good when I checked the locale from the command prompt.
Clients pointed to the Unraid server now have the date format that I was after.

Thank you Martin and sub for leading me in the right direction.

Do you have any plans on supporting multiple hosts kind of like how KODI handles it,
or is there a way to do it already.

I think sub has done a great job for the UI client interface, it has been around for a long time, over a decade via Kodi and xbmc before that, but the API is extremely usable now.

UI clients are driven by the server so no way to do multi-instance sorry. Best you can do is edit yauiclient.json and input a different IP. I am finalizing an RPi version right now and afterward I will see if I can make a selection dialog like I do for my other clients, but this is a desktop client so I didn't see it that part as being too important.

Is there a way to do quad screens on android?

That would not be a question for yauiclient since it is only released for Windows right now. The Android API doesn't handle multiple streams and even what Android calls PIP is a small video with the non-video GUI.

I would like to do a monthly donation for the yauiclient and UI client . Could you do a pip like channels DVR? Also can you make an option to record while you are already watching a show and like it?

Do you have a link to your PayPal and sub?

I tried rewinding more than 3 min and it crashes the app. I know it's still a work in progress but I hope enough people can donate to make it really special.

All UI clients do support recording while watching using remotes and keyboard https://github.com/emveepee/Testing/wiki...dReference My clients aren't mouse friendly so I don't test that I assume that is what you are asking. I don't see mouse UI for recording in the upcoming v7 so that would be for sub to add, not the client.

For me PIP was for small old school 4x3 monitors and I prefer yauiclient approach (from JargonPlayer) to have quadrants and don't envision PIP unless it comes to all UI clients I guess you can move and resize windows 2 make it overlap window 1 if you really want. In my plans I do have an thought to store the screen location and size of all windows not just window 1.

As for supporting issues, without logs there are no problems. If you do want to open a support request open a new thread with the logs when the problem occurs.

I guess it would take an overhaul, but channels when you hit back the video still plays and you can look at settings and even go into android TV settings while video plays. The best think to add is an easy setting to record while watching in the android client and not crash when rewinding (mine crashed at 3min) also single click ok plays the current airing, and hold ok click bring up DVR options, though that interferes with your other hold click menu

You seem to be mixing up uidroid and yauiclient. With uidroid and a full remote there is one key recording. Maybe sub can adjust the v7 UI to allow recording on the osd
