You need to open a bash shell into your docker Typically you do that using docker exec -u 0 -it nextpvr /bin/bash

Then it would be in in /app as shown in my linked post.

If you can't do that you need to follow the other suggestion.

okay cool, bashed in to docker container and it was there
cp from config where i put it and into the /app
now when i restart the container i get
Unhandled exception. System.BadImageFormatException: Bad IL format.
at NPVR.Program.<>c.<Main>b__6_0(Object s, EventArgs e)
at System.AppContext.OnProcessExit()
Unhandled exception. System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'System.Diagnostics.Process NShared.TimingExtractor.StartTimingExtraction(System.String)'.
Unhandled exception. System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'System.Diagnostics.Process NShared.TimingExtractor.StartTimingExtraction(System.String)'.

Are you running 6.1.5? Probably not even 6.1.4

I guess sub changed some functions for 6.1.5  Here is the one from 6.1.4 to get Docker running until you update. No mjh fix though.

I replaced the NShared.dll with the one you provided and still no sound sadlyo

That is expected. Sub's fix for the mjh.nz proxy to Prime aren't included for 6.1.4. Patches for obsolete versions are never created, and you need to upgrade to 6.1.5 and then use sub's newer file than test. It still hasn't been confirmed as working.

Yep, what he said.

You'll need to upgrade to v6.1.5, then install that updated NShared.dll.

Upgrade by doing:
Code:
docker pull nextpvr/nextpvr_amd64:stable
I'd usually then delete and recreate the container. (but it still points to the config which lives outside of the container, so settings are retained etc)

Okay spun up a test docker with latest NextPVR and replaced the NShared.dll and there is sound
