Believe it or not after two days of searching the Internet for clues on how to use the XR15 remote I found the information I needed right here on this forum https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=52436 Sure enough I found an RNG-150 conf file that works at least with the the streaming box.

Martin,  it sounds like you have achieved what I am an trying to do but not succeeding.  Specifically I want to control a Rogers Ignite Xi6-A box (comes with XR15 remote) with the IR blaster of my HD PVR 2.  I have run Test All and the PACE ones individually in Blaster Configuration (BlastCfg) but doesn't seem to be working.  Can you share the information you learned and the RNG-150 file you mentioned.  I have spent more than two days researching this and haven't got a solid result yet.
Thanks

I couldn't find a solution with the HDPVR in brief tests since I couldn't learn OK . Maybe a better thread to continue the discussion is here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=65495.

The RNG-150 file I use is for LIRC and there is no LIRC Hauppauge transmitter for WinLIRC.

Yes, there are ways to convert IR signals to RF, but it can get a bit technical. One common solution is to use an IR extender kit, which includes an IR receiver that picks up the IR signals from your remote and converts them to RF signals that can be understood by your device. You can then control your RF-only device using your existing IR remote. It's worth checking compatibility and setup instructions to ensure it works with NextPVR.

Well, my concern is the other way around. Converting RF to IR. I don't know how I would use Nextpvr with RF.

I got a mail that said there was a reply here, but when I clicked the link it's not here.
I got a new LG TV for upstairs.  I'm not 100% sure, but I think the remote may be blue tooth.  If not, it's at least RF.  I see no signs of IR.  It's called the "magic remote", a misnomer because it's basically horrible, but I can usually make it work.

BTW, I had a horrendous time getting logged back in to the forum after the "username/password is wrong" message, but I finally made it (I think).
My downstairs setup is Verizon "TV One".  I did have the ONT replaced a couple of years back, but Nexpvr is still working with TV One and my current ONT (I may have that name wrong).

I have a feeling that Verizon is headed to streaming, though.  I don't have any reason to say that.  It's just a feeling from some of the ads, etc.

I've gone two of these LG TVs here. I like them. I basically ignore mouse-pointer type functionality of this remote, and just use the use the directional buttons and enter/back etc.

Me too Sub. I hate that thing. I know that you can press a direction button, and they go away, but I think LG should give you an option to just eliminate them.

You probably got the email from a deleted spammer, they have a habit of replying to open threads. Often the same thread gets picked by the bot too.

I recently got a new TV and sound bar and remotes for both are definitely are the weak links. I am used to voice control, but now because it uses GoogleTV as a front end there are no discrete HDMI inputs. Turns out my wife finds that part easier she never got all the inputs straight. Really glad there is no air mouse. I had to pair a second remote because there are no numbers on the remote.

The Samsung soundbar is another story. The remote has lots of keys but the UI uses a tiny unreadable 1" LCD display so I end up having to use the app. We have a house guest who goes to bed early I have to hunt down my phone to turn on night mode or rear speakers only, the soundbar is too powerful. I guess using the phone as a part of the system is integral now, need it for Spotify and Tidal too.

Ny last TV was 4K but SDR only, now I get Dolby Vision, HDR10+ etc and the difference is night and day. I really like the change from 5:1 to Dolby Atmos for Netflix, Apple TV and Prime, the STB and NextPVR are a bit tame in comparison. So yeah it takes a little bit more effort to watch but once I have the source going there is no going back.
