Thank.  The trouble is Dropbox they tell us you content is "application/binary" which was changed for 7.0.5 because an xmltv file is not binary so it allows gz files that come in that way.  Can you save it gzipped?  It isn't good to dump binary data into a string processor.

Using the long Dropbox URL won't help that is then one returning

I will pass a suggestion on to sub to allow overriding bad server responses.

Hi Martin, so I also get a separate tinyurl for gzipped version of the xml. Are you saying I should download and save it as gzipped? or just download and manually upload? Also, is there a way to go back to version 7.0.3 since that was working well as is?

If you have a URL to a gz file then it should work yes but in 7.0.5 only not 7.0.3 that is why this a fix not a bug. You should ask Dropbox to change to valid content type detection.
