Can't Scan for Channels Fedora 44

Oh... duh. Thank you. Ok did that. Now it installed. Pardon me. I only recently decided to start using Linux...so I am not at all sharp here.
Question... the result shows an ICON: HD HOME RUN CONFIG. I thought it would be NextPVR and ASSumed that I could use it with Hauppage Dual-HD USB tuner or the single tuner. Am I off track here?

Perhaps I have started at the wrong place. I am brave to try it with linux but maybe I missed something.

Fedora would not be my first choice for a Linux distro for NextPVR, so I can't answer most questions. NextPVR should be able to any tuner that Linux recognizes and Hauppauge are generally a good bet for kernel support. The trick is you have to install l multiple firmware files that aren't included with the basic install and you need to search out how to do this on Fedora. It might be as "easy" as checking dmesg for the missing firmware (fw) files and then getting the from a source like this https://github.com/osmc/dvb-firmware-osmc

Thank you. I am going to get another pc out of the closet that I dont use daily and try installing on there. Is MX-Linux a suitable distro if I am looking for a path that will make it easy to get support? I dont really have any preference myself.

MX Linux is Debian/Ubuntu based so the normal .deb installer should work. I have no experience with it myself. Consider LibreELEC if you only want this for NextPVR, the Kodi player will be better than on core Linux.

This doesn't make installing firmware any easier. Base Windows doesn't support your tuners either but the firmware is included with the Hauppauge installer.

Thanks. I should have started with the Hauppauge site. It says to use Ubuntu for the easiest path. https://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/...linux.html Yes once it's together I will only be using it for nextpvr. I like the next PVR client that I see on Windows, I hope it's on Linux. Kodi is ok but I don't see any burning need for it.

Ignore the Hauppauge info you want kernel support without building from a PPA.

There is a Linux client based on yauiclient if you search the forum, but now you have totally hijacked a Fedora thread.
