It never records

I didn't install winDVR because there was no CD of any kind in the box. Yes, it was sealed. I guess I am SOL unless I can find a way to get a replacement CD.

If you check the box contents, you should have been supplied WinDVD Creator http://www.plextor.com/english/products/...ntent.html. Without it, you're out of luck. You could try downloading an eval from InterVideo.

Well, installing the PVR trial software made it so now it will record.. but it won't record sound. Video recording is great but every avi file is devoid of all sound, both in media player and in GB PVR. I tried installing DVD creator to see if it would fix the sound problem, but no luck. I suspect the problem is related to this in the log:

And no, no CD of any kind was in the package. I am quite angry with newegg, the people I ordered it from. And since they aren't there all weekend I have to wait until Monday to talk to them, and who knows how long it will take them to get me the CD after that.. in the meantime I'll be missing all these shows I'd like to record
