Oh, good. I was thinking the question was the problem. Next time I'll do a better search of the forum.

Thanks Sub.

Unfortunately, I just spotted the specs of your machine in your signature.

WMV support needs a quite grunty PC, as it requires real time transcoding to MPEG format. Hauppauge recommend a 2.4Ghz for this, but I'd have to recommend slightly higher. Maybe 2.6Ghz? This activity consumes a lot of CPU.

You might be ok on low res, low bitrate WMV files.

My primary Computer is a Athlon 64 3400+ If I end up wanting to use divx/xvid/wmv I'll have to move my tuner and GBPvr from my PVR box into my primary PC.

Thanks Sub

Circuit City is consistently inconsistent. I found a single MVP in stock at each of 2 stores. Price on shelf was $64.99 at the first store and $69.99 at the second. The first store scanned $59.99 and checkout and the second $53.95. Don't believe what you see on the shelf.

Yes, they are! I just bought the last one in Ann Arbor for $70.95 and the last one in Dearborn for $53.95. Ann Arbor told me to come back and they refund the difference.

Now for the real question: Will my existing unit (Rev D3A, 45 button remote) peacefully co-exist with the the 2 new ones (Rev E1M w/45 button remote and Rev E1 w/34 button remote)?

Thanks for the notice! You talked me into one. :-)

$58.95 Circuit City, price paid before tax
plus (or rather minus)
$20.00 Mail in rebate: (8/21 thru 8/27)

Firmware is D1, so I guess they really weren't selling.

They also have the Hauppague WinTV-USB2 for $100, minus a $60 rebate.

Austin, TX (ya'll)

Thanks!
