Quote:1. The EPG/Zapit almost always GPFs when its done. The stuff is all there, no corruption in the schedule, but it always bugs out with a prompt to debug. I don't. I've previously seen the tray thing (different machine here so can't name it) use 100 MB (1 GB machine, jigs and jigs of VM), and then crash. I've seen the recording service use 60 and more MB, and it too crash. The EPG/Zapit crash still happens (I say almost always, but I think it is always); the others I can't say if they still do that with yesterday's version (it doesn't happen that often). When it does crash, it's, as weird as it may sound, no big deal because it's not really doing anything important when it does crash.
This reads like you're not talking about the v0.94.12 release which was only released a few hours ago, and the topic of this post. If its not related to v0.94.12, then you should have posted this in the support forum, instead of tacking it on to this thread.

What does this crash say?

Given that you say that the schedule is all there after this crash, then this sounds like you're running something in PostUpdateEpg.bat that is crashing (ie not GB-PVR, but some plugin).

Quote:I can't say for sure the recording service crashed. I have seen it use a lot of memory, more than usual (and usual is more than usual, you'd think) It's possible it crashed. I get a lot of crashes when using gbpvr. Probably the only thing I do use that crashes.
That sort of detailed information gives me nothing to go on, and wont result in any fixes. Why dont you try posting detailed information about what you're trying to do, whats happening, what error message you're getting, etc. You're more likely to get results that way. Post it in the support forum...not here.

Just tried to install this version and get the error unable to complete installation and the installer rolls back all the files. A similar error existed in a previous installer too, but was fixed.

I installed 94.12 last night and performed a manual EPG update on one of my sources when I realized I was being affected by the EPG bug from previous versions. The manual update worked just fine.

Now I discovered the following error this morning while trolling through my logs. Is anyone else seeing this sort of thing?

One more thing. The new conversion tools don't seem to be working at all for me. I want to make sure this isn't user error before I go sharing the specifics though. Which log do I have to look at to see the conversion process kick off?

An OSD of the volume used to display on my MediaMVP in version 0.92.11. Any of the upgrades since do not display the OSD for volume. (The rest of the OSD is fine...)

I am not running (or have ever installed) any of the MVP software.

Not a serious bug, but I thought I'd bring it up.
