I haven't been getting the over night update, but when I right clicked on the tray app, and picked update, it downloaded the new data. I'm going to check again tonight to see if it does.

Sub, will gbpvr auto download data while you are using a MVP client? I have been leaving it on at night the last couple nights that it din't auto download.

Well, OK, I should say, "I have fallen asleep while trying to watch Johnathan Creek" 2 nights in a row..." So I'm not sure if a video was actually playing at 3:00am, but it was up at the menu, or possibly the screen saver.

Its the recording service which does the upgrade each night, so it doesnt matter what sort of client you're running.

I've just upgraded and when I pause in Live TV is is very stuttery and then I get a windows error message and do I want to send it to microsoft.

luckly I have 9412 rename and jumped back to that version everything is sweet there. I've tried looking at the logs and can't find anything. Here are my attachments

gjen, nothing obvious in your logs. I'm also not aware of any issues, either from my own testing, or from comments from other users.

Maybe try removing the weather plugin, since it seems to be doing stuff while you're trying to view TV.

The answer was to update to Windows Media Player 9. I was using 8 and after I upgraded (using Windows Update) it worked just fine.

That's EXCELLENT! THANK YOU!!!

Same thing last night. I checked the listings, and nothing new. I right clicked on the tray app and picked "Update EPG" and it updated.

I am getting good updates when run manually, it just doesn't seem to be doing it automatically at 3:00am anymore. I just changed it to 9:00am (it's 8:29 now) and will see what happens, and check logs.

Hey Sub,

Maybe you could put a "last updated" at the top of the guide so we can easily tell when the last successful update was run.

Pioneer4x4, post your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log file that covers 3AM if you still have it.

Unfortunately thats not really practical, given each capture source can have different dates.

Also sounds ugly to me. I dont want to see this in the TV Guide screen, cluttering up the screen.
