Sorry folks,

Above problem had nothing to do with the webstreamr. My router was not configured to pass port 1234 to my server (needed since I use a virtual domain to access my server).

The above error message is still there but does not seem to harm any more.

grrrr.... so I got my Toshiba tablet back.. sent it in because the LCD swivel pivot thingy was loose.. it was annoying so I wanted it fixed since i'm under warranty.. the brainiacs at Toshiba decided to also wipe out my hard drive and do a factory restore (after specifically telling me that it was only a cosmetic / body change and there was no need to backup).

Luckily, I had my drive setup to have a small C:\ with just windows and everything else on D:\... seems like almost everything from D:\ is still physically there, so I've re-written the partition table in knoppix and am quickly copying files over the network Smile Thank God my webStreamer stuff is safe, just gotta install everything on the machine to get up and running..

sorry this is taking so long guys.. but it'll be worth the wait i hope.. lol

You should have removed the HD before you sent it in. I woudl bet you would have a new one installed "by accident".

any way to add the ability to skip ahead on the stream on the streamer web page? I have only been able to view streams by spawning a vlc player, and I can jump ahead like you can with the internal player.

Maybe you can pop a small window with play, pause, forward jump, backward jump, and close.

Im sorry I wasn't more clear with what I was suggesting: What I meant to say was when you spawn an external player, VLC or WMP, it would be nice to also spawn a small popup browser window to navigate the stream.

The controls in the browser window are great, but there is no way to control the stream when you spawn an external player.

Hope I'm not posting out of context here, but I just downloaded this as I thought it would be a great way to watch stuff I've previously recorded on my main PC remotely using my laptop. After installing and pointing web-browser to the correct port, I can select a show and a player, but then get the following error...

Quote:The system cannot find the path specified
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The system cannot find the path specified

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Stack Trace:

System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain() +750

I've tried looking through the posts here for similar but to be honest I lost the will to live after the first 10 pages of posts.

Would it be possible to replace the original post on this with a concise 'how to' in a single post, or point at a page in the WIKI please? Sorry if I sound like a whining noob.

BTW anyone who makes the time and effort to create plugins like this one deserves praise, so thanks - even if it hasn't worked (so far) for me.

Did you install VLC? If not, that is probably the reason. You can get it here.
