For the first time last night I tried to use mlupdater service

I inserted 3 or 4 albums into my folder structure installed the mlupdater service from the config app and left it to get on with it it.

but having browsed the db this morning nothing appears to have been added to the database.

logs below anybody suggest what the problem is ?

I see a few errors in this "log" that I will look into. I don't support MLUpdater because psycik said he was looking into some things, but I might have broken Fast Update when I made the db changes.

This update should handle Fast Scans properly, hopefully it works better with MLUpdater too.

Is it possible to request a change at this late date

Something that has always been there but I have never thought about

when you view the playlist the playing track is highligted and moves down the list until it reaches the bottom of the screen where it then stops

so when the playlist screen is viewed you can always see the tracks which have been just played, but you have to page down to see the tracks about to be played

could this be changed so the current playing track is scrolled upwards eachtime the track changes so that the highlighted track remains at the top of the screen, giving you an instant view of whats coming next

you can always use page up to see what has just been played if required

hope this makes sense

I like it TK. Ive run into this too, where I have to manually bump the list down to see whats still to play.
Instead of the indicator highlight being at the very top, how about 2 or 3 tracks down from the top in case you want to easily see what the last track or 2 that played were ?

Or if it is not to difficult, leave the current track just in the middle like a "rolodex", so you can see in a glimpse what has just been played, and what is ahead.

It's not too late, psycik still hasn't had time to build a release. I'll have a look tonight, I won't put it at the top, I like to turn on the monitor to see what has been played as much as what's coming up, but placing the cursor in the middle might work for me.

I'd be happy with that as well

My son simply asked why can you see whats been played but not whats coming up ?

and I have to admit I'd never thought about it before, I just accepted thats the way it is
