No, I didn't install VLC - I selected WMP as the player. Does it still have to have VLC installed? If so I'm stuffed as for some reason VLC trashes a lot of stuff (I've had it installed on my main PC before and it doesn't like my set-up for for some reason, so I had to remove it; plus I wouldn't be able to put it on my laptop as it's 'company' controlled and I'm not allowed to install other software on it).

Sorry, perhaps I should have mentioned this in the post.

VLC is only needed on the server side. It is used to actually stream the video to the client.

You dont need to install it on your laptop, just you desktop that has gbpvr on it.

Thanks Turkey, I'll see if I feel brave enough to put VLC back on the 'server' later. I'll post back with results if I get it working.

First just wanted say I think this is a great addition and cannot wait until it is bundled into next release. I have modified it slightly to use the themes, and so that it shows as tab when logged into webadmin. It works great for me with VLC, and I see all of my shows that I recorded. I was wondering if I could either get the play icon as I have newest GBPVR 96.12 which does not have the images folder nor the image it is looking for or tell me where I can modify this as I am having trouble finding the reference to this image. I changed paths from images to public for the logo and t.gif.

Also was wondering if you could have this stream anything from the video's directories?

Again this is a great addition and works great for me.

Is the new release about to be out?

can't wait... Hopefully compatible with MacOS and Firefox with WMP.

To get a play 'button' just create an anchor, and set the class right, eg:
Code:
<a href="something" class="btn-normal-small"><span>Play</span></a>
The span is required, trust me. If you want to use a server side LinkButton instead of the anchor tag, that works fine too (span still required inside the LinkButton's text).

Can you help me with this as I am unsure where I would put that in the stream.aspx file.

Quote:<asp:table EnableViewState="True" id="tblFiles" runat="server" Width="760" CellPadding="6"
CellSpacing="1" BorderWidth="0"></asp:table>

Is this the right area?
