Ambro Wrote:Does anybody else have this problem with the new "System" button?...

If I select the system button via the physical keyboard by pressing 'enter' I enter the next screen.

If I select the system button via the mouse I enter the next screen.

If I try using girder to enter the next screen an error message appears -
" Setup Error
" Failed to load resources from the resource file
" Please check your setup

I have tryed similating the 'return' key via girders virtual keyboard function & I have tried the 'send message' way of communicating to gb-pvr. None of these work.

This new button is the only button that doesn't seem to work with girder. What am I missing guys?? This seems really weird.

*Bump* - any girdery people out there with this problem (or not)? Sub, is there any unsual way the system plugin interacts with things that may give me a hint where to start troubleshooting?

Upgrade mostly went fine for me, with one problem - when I try to enter the standard "recordings" menu, it just brings up the error message "Error: specified cast is not valid", although if I use Xrecord I can see my previous recordings. I am trying this with the default blue skin, and have now turned off all other plugins. I have also compacted the gbpvr database back down to around 3M from around ~220M, and have removed all cast mentions in reven's MyDatabase mdb file. The error in the GBPVR.exe log is:

23/02/2006 5:19:57 p.m..321 ERROR [2] Error: msg=0x202 (WM_LBUTTONUP) hwnd=0x901f0 wparam=0x0 lparam=0x11b0096 result=0x0 : System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid.

sub ive managed to map the "Red" button to switch between inset/fullscreen pretty well, however with the DVDPlayer, i think it uses the "DVD_MENU" command to switch to both the gbpvr menu and the dvd menu, so could you add another command in here, perhaps
"DVD_DVDMENU"
or "DVD_GBPVR_MENU" or whatever?

If you want to zip and email your gbpvr.mdb to me at support@devnz.com, I'll take a look.

Sorry, that doesnt make any sense to me. There is nothing different about that screen. If it works with the keyboard, and Girder sends fake keypresses, then it should work.

I've never used Girder myself, so cant really give you much more to go on.

I fixed it (well something did) I rebooted the machine this morning and now it works with the home button on the keyboard but remote buttons don't work.

Hey Sub,
I'm having a problem with the recordings button.
I can no longer get into the recordings screen and an error message pops up saying:

"Error: Specified cast is not valid"

Couldn't see anything in the logs about this....
Any clues?

Thanks

Steve
