American Dad.Episodes.xml

Removed from _SeriesIDs.txt:
american dad=n=No Data
american dad!=73141
(do these entries look normal? In particular the first one.)

Nothing in _Replace.txt

Unchecked 'Auto download Master List'

Made it past 'American Dad'.

Ah yeah, I remember seeing that garbage and I forgot to clean it up

Anyway, I have a newer version that will retry like other parts of the download process.

A reminder, a retry of 0 means there will be no retry, once and then give up...

New Release: 2.0.3362.30575

Please be sure you are using this version or better. I'm trying to clean the garbage...

Another quick one.... I'm only writing this so people aren't confused when they see the version on the wiki is actually newer than last post... Big Grin

Alright, I'm slowing down on this leg...

There are some features (some would call tantalizing) that I would not suggest trying for a while, until I give the green light. I've pretty much locked off many parts to the SeasEP tab, but in case I forgot, please don't play there yet. It uses queries that CAN be destructive to the GB-PVR database.

What I'm aiming for is more stability. I've found a couple more glitches that some people are having and I've swen them up. I'd like to find more (if they exist) So I'm really wanting to be sure that basic operation is fine...

I'm hoping that many of you have placed it in your UpdateEPG.bat and started using this on an automatic basis.

Yes, I haven't really finished the New Show Detection, the Categories (ad and remove) and Date formatting (Thursday, Jan 15, 1967)...

But those will slip in to the program fairly easy. I just want to be sure we are all downloading and uploading smoothly...

I have not, and will not merge your files for another few days. That's ok for individuals, as their own _seriesID.txt file should contain all the shows (or almost all) the shows THEY need. I'm waiting for many of you to update to the very latest (today or better) so that the txt files will be cleaned out...

And finally, I'm in need a of time away from Ultra. So if you have something that needs looking at, please don't hesitate to report the bug, but I'm not going to worry about new features or cosmetics for a little while.

Good luck
Frank Z

I have the Date tag inserted at the beginning of the description section. In GBPVR, I noticed Criminal Minds was on Mar. 20 at 8:00 PM, but in the description it had a date of Mar. 21. When I looked at the XML file it lists the start date/time as Mar 21 12:00 AM GMT
<programme start="20090321000000 +0000" stop="20090321010000 +0000" channel="212.CFTO.128">

Should the Date tag that’s being added to the description take into account the Time Zone of the computer that is running UltaXMLTV?

I can't be sure, but I sometimes the records from the listing provider is messed up. For example, the record might assume (remember the records are written weeks in advance) that the airdate for a TV show is one day, but then in Canada, we might actually get to see the show a couple of days before. (And vise versa)

Anyway, I'm still not satisfied with how the date tag is being read, but I'm waiting on whurston on making the change. He's been quite busy...

If it's any help I have included the original and enhanced XML entries and a screenshot of the guide entry in GBPVR for Criminal Minds Mar. 20 8:00 PM EST.

You'll notice that the date tag from the original is Feb 11. The actual airdate is March 21, and that's the date shown after enhancement.

I'm not saying it's right. You've just illustrated what the problem is, and that's what I'm waiting on...

New Release: 2.0.3368.27095

You will need to delete the _tag and _title files, and start with new settings (Use Zehd's Picks as a starting point)

Greetings Beta Testers. I have some for things for you to look at and break...

First off, I have taken a lot of your ideas, and started working on them, if not implemented them. Don't be surprised if you see something that looks interesting, only to find out the feature is not finished... !!!

New Show Detection

I have still not finished working on New Show Detection, though I discovered accidentally that mc2xml (actually the microsoft servers) have started including the <new/> tag for new shows and it's quite accurate. I have tweaked that for mc2xml users. SD users should have the same as lately for their New Show detection, which is not perfect in my view, but quite usable.

I have worked on support for Birtles (Radio Times) UK users. Special instructions for anyone interested...

On the New Show Detection, I have created (and defaulted) to 'Auto'. It reads your file and auto sets up for SD or MC2xml. If you have either SD from xmltv.exe, or mc2xml using the microsoft servers, use 'Auto'...

(mc2xml users: I'm also working on mc2xml for titan and SD, whicg is actually quite different - coming soon (though I really like Microsoft listings the best anyway)

Other Tags

I've added support for Ratings, StarRatings, Video, and Audio tags , -- Optional for use in regular listings, in Movie Title etc. Tried to keep that intuitive. (If I missed an angle, let me know)

Categories are much cleaner. I've trimmed some of the fat.

Start for compatibility with TV Listings

For every new show, I've added a <premiere>New<\premiere> to start the process of being compatible with xmltvextras/TV Listings

SeasEp Tab
I have worked on the SeasEp lookup tab (NOT FINISHED)

I shouldn't be releasing something with such an obvious ommision, but I really like the story of Pandora's Box, so let's just watch LewE for a bit, shall we!!!

The SeasEP tab doesn't really do much, just a database reader at the moment. You will be able to edit records and such soon.

Three ways to lookup information - one way, I haven't looked to fix, so if it's broken, I don't wanna hear 'bout it.

You can lookup a show and see it's SeriesID. Find a show, or type in the List of Shows in SeriesID.txt dropdown, and hit enter

You can look at shows that have been already recorded. You're limited to what's in the list.

Scheduled isn't working too well right now. Don't touch it! hahah

Replace is not finished but still working the way it used to, just been moved.

And Rename is a collection of routines that I started working on, that boiled into another little program I'm including with this release: UltraXMLTV _Post (We can call it Ultra Post)

UltraXMLTV Post-Process Assistant
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I threw this together over a few days, and then ran it for a few more days. My system broke a couple of times, but I'm sure I know why, and fixed it so it is safe...

This program isn't really designed to be used manually. But you can certainly try it that way, and just check to see it working. (There is another mechanism in Ultra Enhancer 'Rename All' which uses the same math but it does all the shows that have not been renamed to date, in one swoosh.

But you might still want to try it one at a time...

Also, the Ultra Post isn't really supposed to be just for renaming. That's why it's called Post-Process assistant... It will launch and keep track of retiming and comskip for you to. Some limitations at the moment of course. But I'll add more options as there's interest...

You will use Ultra Post in EITHER the ParallelProcessing.bat OR the PostProcessing.bat (You do NOT wanna see what happens when you use both - trust me...

In either of batch files, add one line...

Code:
"C:\EPG\UltraXMLTV\UltraXMLTV_post.exe" %1 %2

Remove references to anything that renames, retimes or comskips. (I would suggest forgoing transcoding too for the time being ) --my PostProcess batch file has only this line in it.

Now, for Retiming (I won't get into why someone wants to retime right now), you must have VideoRedoPlus installed in default directory. In fact, good possiblity of crashing the progfram if you try to retime and it isn't installed. (I haven't written that catch yet)

The program won't let you check the first comskip and the seconds comskip. If you are using the Ultra Post in post, only check the second 'comskip' check

Renaming

When you have this checked, and it comes to that function, it will try to combine the Title and the Sub_title of a recording and make a filename (If the Sub_title already includes the SeasonEp Num, that's great)

It will also check one more time if a SeasonEp num is available and include that in filename

It also updates the database to keep your Playback position. So if you watch a show half way, stop it, and rename it, you'll still have the playback position

Coming soon

I will be making a hook so that Ultra will run another user customized batch file on exit (very same way GB-PVR calls PostProcessing.bat etc)

I will be integating Transcoding

I will be giving your the option if you want the text of the Sub_title at all, and there will be a chance for an alternate location for the recorded files.

Copying and recreating associated XML data for the shows, so that the programme inforation will display even while viewing with the Video Library.

----

I apologize for the very long, slightly verbose instructions. I'm assuming that most of this will be making sense to the people who have been riding along with me on this Beta journey

---
BTW, last mission, regarding collecting of SeriesIDs, is turning out to be very succesful. Though I have not been merging your New Finds on a daily basis. Please let me know how this aspect is going...

Done. Anything else you'd like us to do? Big Grin

I kind of feel like the person who buys the first Woot at 2.3 seconds after it is posted for the day. Smile

I deleted the two files you mentioned. Went and chose zehd's picks. I moved an item down the list in the subtitle tag.

I think I then chose an intem in the pulldown Tag Name list, probably either Description or Previously Shown. I really wasn't expecting a problem with just these basic actions so I didn't take careful (or any) notes on my actions. Sorry.

Below is a screen cap of the popup error box and the detailed information in the box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.[/COLOR]

I kind of feel like the person who buys the first Woot at 2.3 seconds after it is posted for the day. Smile

I deleted the two files you mentioned. Went and chose zehd's picks. I moved an item down the list in the subtitle tag.

I think I then chose an intem in the pulldown Tag Name list, probably either Description or Previously Shown. I really wasn't expecting a problem with just these basic actions so I didn't take careful (or any) notes on my actions. Sorry.

Below is a screen cap of the popup error box and the detailed information in the box.

[COLOR="Blue"]See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.[/COLOR]

According to the screen snap, you actually started. So I don't think that it was any of your adjustments... I'll have another go at finding that...

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...
