Here's a few bugs I've seen in PVRX2 that I don't believe anyone has mentioned (if they did and I missed it, sorry)

The date and time in PVRX2 doesn't show up on the main menu after the PVR has been in use for a while. Like if I go to TV Guide and then back to the main menu, it won't be up there at the top. If I let it sit at the main menu a few minutes, then it will magically appear.

Recordings sometimes doesn't update with newly recorded shows. For example, last night a show was recording, I saw it in the Pending section as still recording. Later in the evening I tried to watch that recording, it was definately no longer recording as i had use of both tuners, and it didn't appear anywhere; not in pending, what's new, ready, etc. That was after going in and out of the Recordings menu in hopes it would show up. Finally went to Video Library and watched it from there. After the show was over, I went back into Recordings and it showed up in what's new, ready, etc. This has happened a few times before. When it happens again, I'll zip up my logs (unless someone else has seen this already).

Could Live guide functionality be put back in while watching a recording? Many times I'm watching something I've previously recorded and happen to see a commercial for a show I'd like to watch. In the past, I would bring up the live guide and schedule it while still watching my recording (very handy). But now when I press the guide button on my remote, I believe something is happening in the background but nothing shows up on the screen (can't exit out of the recording, pause playback, etc) and the remote appears "dead" until i press guide button a second time.

Also, along the same lines, I kinda like the new Live guide layout, but it won't work for searching for and scheduling anything like I previously noted while watching something. Is there going to be the option to view the old live guide how it used to be? Or better yet, an option to switch it on the fly without having to exit and go into the config?

Thanks

Do you have channel logos files that match channel names? Some of the xmltv EPG files supply URLs to channel icons and GB-PVR will download them automatically and save them with the right name. zap2it doesnt supply this info so you have to find/download them yourself and save them with the correct name.

TVGuideChannelHeaderType = 0 will display "icon + name"
TVGuideChannelHeaderType = 3 will display "icon + name" if more than 50% of channels have icons, otherwise it'll show just "name".

Only with the old GBPVR.exe interface though, the same as the PVR350 tv out.

Unfortunately the days are numbers for both of these. The old GBPVR.exe interface will no longer be updated, and will only distributed with the release for a couple more months. After that everyone will be required to use the new PVRX2 interface or stick with an old release. (keeping it around causes headaches because it means I cant do updates to the DLLs shared between GBPVR.exe and PVRX2.exe)

I second this as well, having the live guide was useful if I wanted to record a something without leaving what I was watching.

Also, a small thing, I would like the time put on the on-screen info when I press the blue button on my remote, I rely on it for the current time, very convenient. I know it was there up till 99.12 as I use it every time.

Using a Nvidia N6200 card I could never get AR changes to work when playing back MPEG2 files (basically those files recorded by gbpvr from my PVR250) to work. I have a WS TV and it's set to WS most of the time. But when playing back 4:3 content the image is stretched out. Whenever I tried to change the AR to 4:3 using the F7(?) button I would get an image in the top left hand quarter of the screen and the rest full of green video garbage. This problem did not occur with divx content.

With 1.08 successive presses of the F7 button now cycles properly through Auto, Center Cut, Pillar Box etc. and the image is fine in all modes in MPEG2 video. So whatever pvxr2 changes were made in this area, I am happy now!

Glad its working for you.

This was a well known bug with the nvidia video card drivers. It affected other applications aswell. The work arounds were to either disabled hardware acceleration in the video decoder, or switch to VMR9 Custom renderer.

With the new PVRX2 interface in 1.0.8, its always uing VMR9 Custom so you dont get this problem.
