well yes and no - it was more of - can i remove the button from showing in EWA but dont worry about it now cause im changing things around

edit - i see the new version has this option to remove the buttons - so its all good. thanks for you help on this

hey guys - just one more question

since i rebuilt my server i had to reconfigure my iis etc - but dont want to give aspnet full write access to anything that it doesnt - so does anyone know what files / folders it needs to be able to write to ??

i know i need write for the following

recordings directory
videos directory
the sqlite database

is there anything else ?

since i didnt get a response on my last query can i just enabled access to all the items i could think of - but now i have another issue - when browsing the website from outside my LAN i can connect to the website ok - and i can maybe hit the right or left arrows in the guide a couple of times successfully - but then i start getting the following error - like i say i can access about 2 or 3 pages then it just pops up out of nowhere.

Sorry...no ideas......this is one reason I do not use IIS for this app....I am sure it is even worse if you are running W2K3 or Vista as their security models are much more intense the IIS 5's.

well - i think i found and fixed my issues - so im just posting in case someone else has the same issue - the cause was "too many users" error because the website hadnt released some of the connections - on a windows xp machine the concurrent connections is limited to 10 and EWA was using them all. i did the following to fix

1. Open IIS management
2. Right click on the Default Website, click Properties
3. On the Web Site tab, uncheck "HTTP Keep-Alives Enabled"

then try again.
after i did this i could set a program to record and then cancel it again - which i couldnt do before.

Not sure if that will cause problems with Ajax or not.....you can fix this limit by using the fix found here. First posting.

If thats thats the better way of going about it i will give it a try and see if it resolves the issue

HI UJB - im moving my web stuff to a dedicated machine and am getting some different errors - can you tell me if i need to install anything other then IIS on the new machine - im getting "could not load file or assembly gbpvrpublic" errors on the webserver - and im just wondering if i need to install anything first - ive attached the full error to this post
