Vista tuning question

The device failed to start, only giving some generic error message which doesnt provide much clues.

After that I can see it manages to lock a signal on several frequencies, but unfortunately because of earlier error, no data is flowing through graph, so GB-PVR cannot identify any channels.

Awesome Sub! It scanned (though the first time it crashed before completing, the second time it finished the scan and listed the channels as usual for me to map).

Although it picked up (000), (000/AC3) and (eng) channels even though they all say channel 5.1.

But when i pick 5.1 (000/AC3) i get video but no audio. I installed the ac3filter, but still no audio. So now i've gone back to map to just (eng) channel to see what happens. So far it's kinda "thinking" right now.

I'm aware of a couple of visual oddities with the way channels can be shown in the scan for ATSC, due to differences in the way it works (and difficulties for me to test). It presents nicer with DVB. That said, this doesnt affect its ability to produce audio, which would likely be down to the audio decoders being used.

Audio and video is working fine now after I mapped the channels labelled (eng), which i assume is for English.

gbpvr did crash on me though while i was watching Live TV and and trying to change channels.

Here are the logs, (although now off topic with the thread). No hurries with this one, because at least I'm able to record shows now!

Still debating about keeping the hvr950, I would rather get something wtih mpeg2 encoding.
