EPG update validation before 'empty epg'

Just found this thread and copied the batch file but when the gbpvr.exe -deletependingrecurring line runs it runs the gbpvr interface. Tried the search to see if there are any other posts with that flag mentioned but nothing comes up.
I've tried with PVRX2 but the same happens. Do I need a specific version of gbpvr.exe? I'm running 1.0.16.
All and any help much appreciated.

Are you sure it's the -deletependingrecurring that's causing GBPVR to open the gui and not the empty or update commands? Have a look at my post (in the thread mentioned above):

Depending on whether you're using GBPVR.exe or PVRX2.exe the empty and update commands are slightly different ("only" at the beginning or end of the command).

Just for reference, this happens for me, too. I'm running 0.99.12.

remove the -deletependingrecurring line from the batch file and report back. I suspect that option doesn't work with 99.12.

Yes, I failed to mention that when -deletependingrecurring is removed from the batch file the GUI does not come up.

OK, confirmed that the -deletependingrecurring definitely does not work on my system using gbpvr.exe.
However, you were right to say double check because what I did was change the three lines to pvrx2 and I still got an interface starting. I assumed the problem was the same but in fact using pvrx2 the -delete* line works fine, it was the first line that started the interface, for the reasons you detailed. So changed the first line and used pvrx2 and all working now.

Sorry, this is my fault.

gbpvr.exe obviously doesn't recognise -deletependingrecurring running. I just tested this on my pc and had gbpvr start up as well.

I just need to do it like Nomad101 explained in his thread.
