Having trouble with the xmltv.dtd, schema.

Loading the file into UltraXMLTV, I get the "Element content is invalid according to the DTD/Schema"

I'm referencing xmltv.dtd,v 1.38 2007/11/02 20:03:47

I will be looking into it a bit further to find out what is not jiving and try to make contact with the author

I discovered the output file for mc2xml doesn't quite conform to the DTD

I found this entry:

Code:
        <audio>
            <stereo>stereo</stereo>
            <stereo>dolby</stereo>
        </audio>

According to the DTD...

Code:
<!-- Audio details, similar to video details above.

present: whether this programme has any sound at all, 'yes' or 'no'.

stereo: Description of the stereo-ness of the sound.  Legal values
are currently 'mono','stereo','dolby','dolby digital' and 'surround';
others like 'quad' might be added later.
-->
<!ELEMENT audio (present?, stereo?)>
<!ELEMENT stereo (#PCDATA)>

From what I understand you cannot have two separate entries for the audio...

I will email the author

Ah, you are correct. There should only be one instance.

The author has corrected this and uploaded the new file to his site.

UltraXMLTV Enhancer has also been updated to work with the new grabber

If you haven't already Frank, you may want to add this to the wiki. I would also link to it from the MceEpg2XmlTV page.

Yes I was going to write a wiki page, including instructions for multiple listings (which is freaking easy)

You mean linking MceEpg2XmlTV to mc2xml as in, "We're done! Use this one instead..."

As much as I hate to say it, yes. I see no good reason to use mine after seeing the speed and simplicity of this one. The only benefit of mine would be the option to create "lineups" with only the channels you want. But it would be a simple project for you or I to create a post processor for this one that would remove unwanted channels.

You can leave the links and instructions to MceEpg2XmlTV but with an announcement at the top of the page.

How many days of data does this get? The site is down at the moment, so I can't check it.

Thanks.

Without checking definitively, the MCE guide is usually about 14 days worth of data (at least in North America).
