things to check
if buying hvr 2200's you need pci-e slots if you buy pvr500 you need the old pci slots lots of boards have bugger all of both so its easier to look online before you head to the shop and get some dick telling you what he thinks you need get motherboard with no north bridge fan video card should be nothing less than a nvidia 8500 , ati have the 3xxx

thanks stustunz. i had already setup my system by the time i came by your latest reply. thanks away. and here's my PC specs:
2 x HVR 2200 and 1 x PVR500. Core dual 2.2mHz motherboard ASUS P5Q EM (integrated graphics X4500HD, supports pixel shader 4.0 - shared RAM max 1849MB) RAM 2x2GB (I know XP home uses max 3GB - I thought I could dedicate more RAM to the integrated graphics on MOBO - dont really know how to do that at the moment) I had the PVR500 tuners working on GBPVR, however the HVR2200 wont recognise as analogue tuners. only came up in the listing as digital when I select "only show devices detected in this machine". I think I do not have digital signals via SCV cable points (without SCV setup box), so I am not worried about digital signals for now. How do I get the HVR2200 analogue setup for HVR 2200? thanks alot

Anthony,
I think you answered a question I posed in a different thread about Hauppage PVR 1600. With two tuners on that card can I record two programs at the same time? |
