When I'm back home in a couple of days, I'll give you a patch with some additional logging to help identify what's happening.

I really dont think its doing anything different in its tuning vs what GBPVR or Tuning Assistant does.

Something seems to be wrong with your chosen registry key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS49-0],
even if it works for GBPVR.

Try renaming "TS49-0" to "TS0-1".
"0" stands for "broadcast frequencies", "1" for "cable frequencies".
I don't know how a "tuning space" get's chosen, i.e. if "TS0" instead of "TS49" is mandatory.
See <http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms783694%28VS.85%29.aspx>.

49 stands for the area code (germany), 00 were for the usa.

Thank you, the link is interesting, but i can not see any error. It's working good, Windows Media Center and GB-PVR takes advantage of these overrides. Only nPVR is uninterested to respect these values (on my systems). ;D

Hah! Sub, you`re the man for the complicated things. Patch seems to work as ti should, the channelorder now works as it should! May i kindly ask you, what you changed now, that the tuningsspace is now honoured?

Thank you! Smile

Great.

You were just getting lucky in the past due to a bug in GBPVR. Your overrides should have been in TS0-1, which is the place directshow looks by default, as was mentioned in post a few posts ago.

If i lived in the usa, yes. ;D Then was this, what you call a "GB-PVR" bug, the solution of the same problem with an earlier GB-PVR version. Not bad at all. ^^ Just to be sure, i will copy the "german" reg tree to the "TS-0". Not that the same will happening with ultra PVR 2.0 in the future. ;D

Thats not correct. The registry key has nothing to do with the country.

Really?

"...The most straightforward approach is to use the country/region code as the tuning space number. Then, every time the application switches to a new country/region code, it also switches to the same tuning space (in that order)."
from: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/...85%29.aspx (thank you next).

This is just a suggestion though, and the first time I've seen it was when I read that page earlier today. As that page says, "Tuning space numbers are arbitrary", and the default registry key used by all directshow applications for overrides is the "TS0-1" key.
