Unfortunately a lot of people probably never post the gratitude they feel for your time and effort when it "just works" as it tends to; unfortunately I also have a bad habit of falling into that category sometimes. Unfortunately my only 100 series PCH got its network port zapped by lightning, and the only other PCH I have is the C200. So I'm out in the cold until that's supported. Too bad, that was the greatest when it worked.

In any case, thank you for your efforts. Hopefully you'll decide to take the plunge to the 200 series sometime.

Thanks guys I wasn't trolling for compliments. When I put out a version http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...2010-09-05 it's kind of nice to get feedback on whether improvements really work so I know where to target my efforts.

@zaldwalk there never will be a public SDK, and I don't even have the current libraries myself.

mvallevand Wrote:Tough to say what it would take at this point, my 100 series machines are working so well something probably needs to stop working for me Syabas are still keeping it relatively current, they are working on playing files with mkv header compression now. I felt the response to my last release with benefits for NPVR and GBPVR was really disappointing, since I thought there were some real nice improvements, especially for seeking in NPVR that would have cause a few comments.

As for money that won't help, but if sub finds a way to accept support make sure you let him know you like the extender support.

Martin

If you could manage to support the 200-series, sub would probably start using one too (because of the support for LATM audio, I believe) and that would be great for all other users of extenders with NPVR. Although I must admit it's already working very good, considering sub's not even having one plugged in.

I seem to be in similar situation as others have posted. I have two PCH. I haven't switched to NPVR yet either. I have been waiting for the beta to end. We are right in the middle of the new fall season of shows and I record a lot of football games on the weekends. I just haven't had the opportunity to make the change. Additionally, there is always risk that you are going to break things.

I am really looking forward to trying it out though. I've seen where the skipping should work better. That is probably my biggest gripe with my PCH/GBPVR and mvpmcx2. I feel like I need to cross my fingers every time I hit the skip ahead button because sometimes I just don't know what is going to happen.

I know. It's nice to be given a few now and then though, especially for something where you'll never even talk to 99.9% of the people who have benefitted from your hard work.

Martin, do you think A-200 support will be available in the next 6 months or so? If that is the case I am going to buy one and wait.

As I mentioned I haven't even requested the new SDK so it would not be fair to attempt to answer your question, since I don't know if I have to start from scratch or not. Assume no.

Looks like I am going to be in the A-110 Refurb or A200 boat as well.....my refurbed A100 (bedroom unit) suddenly lost network connectivity and shows all 0's in the MAC address.....which is the kiss of death of the network chip from what I read.

Are there any other media extenders out there that will run mvpmcx2?

No. I had hoped that Hauppauge would respond to me about support on MediaMVP-HD (which I can buy for around $120) but this does not seem to be a possibility. The 200 series aren't ever going to be as good as the 100 series because you will have to leave NPVR to play avi and mkv files which could end up being a real pain.

Looks like I am keeping my A-100.....PCH is going to issue RMA and $50 covers repair/replacement and shipping from CA back to PA. So $50 + shipping to them isn't too bad.....unfortunately it was only a couple of weeks out of the 1yr warranty.
