Could I give this thread a polite bump, mainly because baby imilne is behaving himself these days (and sleeping right through the night!) so I might actually have free time to do some real coding again! I'd be great to try and experiment with some of the ideas thrown around in this thread and see if any of them actually work Rolleyes

With 2.0.3, you should already get a 'BUILDING_GRAPH' event with the file or stream name, just prior to building the graph.

Ah, ok, sorry. Wasn't aware of that. I'll get right on it and see how things go.

Thanks!

Well, it seems to work like a charm Big Grin

I'll do some more testing, tidy the plugin up a bit, then post it to the wiki for the other 0.0001% of users who might be interested (but I needed it for my setup regardless).

Many thanks again for providing this sub!

May I ask what the plugin does? Is it of any use to me? Smile

It's very simple. It just changes NPVR's audio renderer setting based on whether a .ts file is playing or not.

If it is, then the renderer is left as "default" and ReClock will not load (assuming you have disabled ReClock's normal method of always inserting itself into any graph).

If any other type of video file is playing, then the renderer is switched to ReClock, allowing it to be used in the graph.

This gets around the problem of only one audio decoder (out of the many that may need to be active) being able to pass its audio to ReClock. Nice as it would be to continue to use it with .ts files, it isn't anywhere near as essential in these cases as it is with other video files because I know that - for me - .ts files will always be 25fps/50Hz because my only source for them is Live TV and its recordings.

I've attached the plugin in its current as-is state if you want to try it. Remember to untick the option in ReClock that states "Force ReClock to be loaded in place of default renderers".

I've now released the plugin properly. You can find it on the wiki.

Hi Iain
Sorry to resurrect this old thread but there is no support thread and this may be a better way of setting up Reclock using Reclock or Not.

Tick Force Reclock to be loaded instead of default renderers
Then tick Only load Reclock for defined aplications
Then add NextPVR as Never Load and add any other Program (TMT3, PDVD etc) that you want to use reclock as Always Load

Reclock or Not appears to still load Reclock in NPVR and now Reclock seems to work in TMT3 all though I have to use 12 noon Display Changer to set the refresh rate to 60 HZ (Reclock not changing refresh rate and reporting it as a huge number - probably the reference clock speed!)
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

Great idea! I never thought to try it that way, thanks. It'll certainly make it much easier if using ReClock with other apps in addition to NPVR.

I'll try to get the wiki page for it updated properly (maybe tomorrow) and create a new support thread for it while I'm at it.
