Multi-rec was never treated as more important than priority, but since the tuner order was top-down was used for both recordings and live tv, it was likely it'd use multi-rec, since it'd find in-use tuners first.

Personally I prefer the priority to be top-down for both live tv and recordings, and thats what the default settings it'll use, but this at least gives the option for those that prefer live tv to use the reverse priority.

I too thank you for this Sub, also much appreciated by me. Can't try it quite yet, rebuilding my system Big Grin

Perfect, thanks.

And it goes in the General section in case anyone else is wondering...

The option is redundant when it comes to dvb and multi-rec. But for those still in the analog world, this is an important option. I'd like to have my USB2 handling Live TV, freeing the PVR500 for recordings.

Even in the analog world, especially now that NPVR supports software encoding it would be wrong to assume that the reverse order is a good recommendation. This is immaterial sub has made a good decision to make it optional for those that want it.

Just remembered. I hadn't already entered this on a test machine config.xml. Upgrading to 2.1.4 the entry was not added and I don't think I found it in config master? Should it be there, and/or did I just miss it?

cheers

I just checked the Config-master-dont-edit.xml that is included in the install and it has it, so you should have it in your config.xml if the upgrade worked correctly.

Hmmm weird, offending master from offending PC attached. Think it is dated 1st July? Cannot find any ref to LiveTV priority in it?

And lest I forget, as so often is the case when we chat about this stuff, THANK YOU SUB Big Grin

cheers

I used 7z to view the contents of the installer dated July 2nd and it is not in mine.

There was a a couple of these types settings I was reminded about on the day of the release, and quietly updated the master file and reuploaded the installer. They're not that important though, so its no big deal if people didnt get them, and they'll pick them up in the next release.
