@Reddwarf - I see you have been busy with ConvertX here http://forums.vso-software.fr/problem-wi...48-20.html - Not sure if the update fixed your issue there?

In any case, I was able to get a sup file and a sub/idx with ProjectX (not easy to work out that program!), so I might try to convert to srt with one of the below. My attempts so far with sub2srt resulted in very very poor OCR. Unusable.

Will play around with these...

1. AVIDemux
http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/
Tools / OCR (TS -> srt)

Framerate Options
23.976
24
25
29.97
30

2. ProjectX again? (Current = 2011-04-11)

3. Vobsub ?

4. SubtitleEdit?
http://www.nikse.dk/SubtitleEdit sub->srt
http://code.google.com/p/subtitleedit/downloads/list
http://code.google.com/p/subtitleedit/do...p&can=2&q=

After you import the .sub file, you will convert the words by hitting the Start OCR button. There are also instructions to use it on the site.
Currently most broadcasters are sending graphic frames instead of text streams. Those frames are demuxed from stream to sub/idx format.

Yeah, I was hoping to be able to go via ConvertXtoDVD but it squeezes the text to half the width of the screen and places them midway up. The update did not fix anything, so I'm really disappointed with that software.
