How do I record as Mpeg rather than ts

Thanks again guys,doing what you said has worked like clockwork,it produces mpg files that my sumvision player understands and retains a pretty decent picture quality too,now I've given it an extended test the only problems I have are that I seem to get 0 bytes recordings sometimes (unless I re register the filters)for example I tried two programmes tonight,the first recorded perfectly the second and hour or so later 0 bytes..and some of the channels won't update with the EPG,any clues on those probs are appreciated too,

good news that you got it working. you should open a new thread for each of the separate other issues that you are having and zip and upload the log files so someone can take a look.
Also provide details on how you update the EPG (over the air or via xml file).
