Still looks like a firewall issue. Also, forget using WinZip for the logs.

Right click logs folder.
Select "Send To".
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder".

Fock this. I'm tired of trying to get NPVR to work.

Media Center works. I'll just keep using that. This stuff is too much of a PITA to get working. I even send logs, and not even you guys can read them. Add to that, people bitch because of my purchased version of WinZip.

I read the logs and it sure looked like a firewall problem or configuration issue outside NextPVR's control. Is it NextPVR's fault that WinZip can't zip locked files?

From post one on, I'd have to see good riddance.

I can't get past this same issue. Firewall exception all added to standard windows firewall have no other firewalls. Tried Other:ASTC/QAM or whatever and NextPVR in the HDHR setup. NOTHING. Have attached my log from the latest attempt to get the channel to show.

It looks like you attempted to set up an HDHomeRun Prime (which has a Cable Card tuner). Is this the model you have or do you have the HDHomeRun Dual (ATSC/QAM)?

It is the Dual and I guess I have to scan the ATSC entries only since I am OTA. Didn't know the others were for Prime and somewhat confused why they show up at all when I have no Prime tuners. I had scanned ATSC prior, but it was probably before the firewall stuff was resolved fully.

Seems there would be a way to detect HDHR variety and only show the proper ones? That and do a windows firewall exception on install so everything sorta just worked for HDHR peeps. Oh well. Think it's all working correctly now and I have the channels and epg setup and such with zap2xml xmltv task scheduled each night.

Prepping for the latest XBMC release to see which of the backend's works best for that. NextPVR seems to be the best so far. Only thing missing is some sorta transcoder for mobile viewing away from home. MediaPortal has that, but their XBMC stuff isn't the greatest yet. Lots of activity in this world though it seems now that it seems MS is apparently ditching this world of computing.

Hey Guys.
I'm completely new to this so forgive my ignorance. I've installed NPBR 2.5.9 and I'm trying to get the EPG to work.
I'm using mc2xml but I can't seem to get the channels to show up.
I've attached my log file as well as my .bat file.
I'm confident it's something stupid I'm doing but I can't seem to figure it out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Replace your UpdateEPG.bat with the following:

The last line had some invalid tick characters.

Thanks whurlston. I made the changes but still no luck when I scan (Digital Channel Setup) for channels.

I opened my TVGuide in notepad and it seems to be populated if this helps any.

Windows Media Center is working fine. I'm just ready to break free of MicroSoft.

Yeah, your logs don't show your scan finding any OTA ATSC channels. Is is possible that you were looking for QAM or may WMC has the tuner locked?
