Recurring recordings not picking up all recurring programmes

I'm not sure the count is unique. In another thread I have described I have troubles with the ATSC guide only picking up a few hours of show. Today I bumped it from 60 to 260 like johnsonx42 suggested hre, and I still got only a few hours (9 rows in the table) but the counts were impressive.

Just for the fun of it, I changed a few channels from XMLTV to DVB/ATSC today, emptied the epg and ran an update. Those channels got only a few programmes listed, not a week of data which is in the stream.

I assume your settings are currently for 60 seconds, as per Johnsonx42's comments?

It would appear to me that I still get low numbers of listings from the daily auto update but 100's from a manual (I have the scan set to 300 seconds)

I'm away for a few days but will leave it running and check the logs on my return.

Keep meaning to mention when I use NEWA the EPG is fully populated is the data for this stored somewhere different than the data that recurring programs are checked against?

Task Sched. EPG update: Doesn't turn NPVR task bar icon red (tuner in use), no detailed NRecord.log entries showing how many listings are added/recurring recordings updated. If anyone knows how to turn this on, can easily provide comparisons. I would have thought the log level set (DEBUG) in the config.xml would be used.

I had the same problem of missing EPG data over a year ago. Setting the update time later helped a bit as did doing the update as a scheduled task. I started using EPG Collector which reads the broadcast EPG and produces an XML file and this cured the problem with the added advantage that it read the Unique Programme IDs which enabled the duplicate recordings to be avoided. On Freeview the full EPG is broadcast on every MUX the but data for the channels resident on the particular mux are transmitted at a higher rate. I now only read the EPG from the BBC MUX and not had any missing data.
