ITV2 missing saturday 8.30 to 20.00.
ITV2 wed missing everything after 9.35.

fuzzweed Wrote:Brian, have you got any 'insane logging' version of the service or app we could run to help you identify the problem?

Sorry - missed this post as I was probably writing my other post at the same time (brain slow late at night at the moment due to 6:30am starts to the day). The answer is no, not readily available but I could put it in if needed.

Weird, I've run the SQL queries used by the nDroid Service to generate the XMLTV files which the nDroid (and TE) app download and import into their local DBs plus I've run the queries the apps use when displaying the TV Guide views. In both cases they're showing full data when run against your npvr.db3 file. In theory that means the nDroid Service SHOULD be generating the XMLTV files correctly which would mean there's an issue with the app(s) importing the data.

Not sure what's going on - I'll plug your npvr.db3 file into my npvr setup and set the PC clock back so I should be able to generate the XMLTV files that you should have and see what the apps make of them. That'll be tomorrow though.

You've got my android dbs in the original zip file. Are they complete? i.e. is the fault the downloading of the xml from pc to android, or from the android db to the app display of it?

Ah, so I do. I forgot your phone is rooted - told you early morning starts don't do my brain any good. Smile

No, the DBs for both nDroid and TE have missing EPG data (both the same subset of programmes) which indicates the EPG XMLTV files downloaded from the PC aren't complete....but I just set my PC back to 3am 24th May and generated the files from your npvr.db3 and nDroidTE downloaded and imported them fine with all programmes being shown for Fri for BBC ONE and Chanel 4+1.

Can you replace your nDroid Service binaries with the ones in the attached zip. Just stop the service and drop the files into the nDroid Service Program Files folder then restart and force a download from the app end.

Done, and looks like it's fixed as I seem to have full guide data now. What was the problem?

Great (fingers crossed). Smile

Quote:What was the problem?
To be honest I'm not 100% sure but I do remember reworking the file generation code to trim out a lot of bloat and put in some more efficient error handling. I suspect if I delved into your npvr.db3 and the XML files generated I might find some spurious text characters which are the most likely reason for the apps to baulk on importing the data.

Just realised how long I've been away from the project and how long ago I made a full release. Probably about time I pushed out a new version of TE and the service binaries to the public.

Anyway I'm sure you'll let me know if that hasn't fixed things permanently - please do. Smile

Cheers,
Brian
