looking good DH, it loads quite fast now. This one is going on the HTPC, no more show-stopping bugs.

But, you've introduced a scraping bug. referring to my queue, the two expired episodes of Modern Marvels are listed with just a ":" character, with the correct season/episode numbers, length, airdate and expired status, BUT with the title image, episode image, and synopsis for the last listed episode of The Event ("Casualties of War").

The episode sorting doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm not sure where the sorting is coming from. For "The Event", episodes 11-22 are listed before episodes 4 and 5, which makes it seem like it's doing an alpha sort... yet for "Three Sheets" the four Season 3 episodes are sorted correctly: Ep 6, 7, 12 & 13, which is a proper numeric sort.

Aside from those bugs, the only functional wish left would be to have a two-level menu; Shows and Movies at the first level, episodes of the selected show at the second level. (or even 3 levels, with season numbers at the second level then episodes at the third level, though perhaps that could be excessive given that we're looking at a queue of selected episodes, not usually all the episodes of a multi-season show... your program, your call)

Really though even if you change absolutely nothing, your program is quite usable as-is. Thanks!

edit: one last thing, Enter would be a better play/pause button for many; we all have an OK/Enter button on our remotes, but mostly don't have anything that sends a Space. Depending on the way we have our remotes configured, the Play & Pause buttons may not send anything your program would recognize either. (oh, just realized cbgifford said essentially the same thing... well, that's two votes then!)

I added enter as a pause option for the hulu viewer, it will be in my next upload.

Sorting is the next thing on my to-do list. FYI, the current sort order is taken from your hulu queue order (http://www.hulu.com/account/queue?view=list&kind=list).

cbgifford Wrote:The OK "ENTER" button started a video from the queue, the Play "ctrl-P" button paused. After that Play "ctrl-P" brought up a print dialog. space bar did nothing so I brought my mouse and tried clicking the play button on the screen and nothing happened. ALT-F4 closed the video.

I restarted the video and toggled the pause with the space bar, how about instead of the space bar toggling play and pause the enter key toggles play and pause. That would make it remote friendly for me and I think for any one else too.

Enter has been added to the list for toggling play.

Apparently Hulu coopts the web browser and turns on the short cut keys, so I can't turn them off. So standard combos (e.g. ctrl-P, ctrl-o, and so forth) are not options for us.

Thanks. That will help.

I considered that first, but the "The Event" episodes are displayed in the correct order in my queue... That's why I said I wasn't sure where the sorting was coming from; it matched neither the queue nor any expected sort method, nor was it consistent between shows.

Very odd, I also just realized I never fixed the expired items issue. I'll check into that, please don't change you password yet Smile

I don't think I'll have any reason to change my password any time soon. Have at it whenever you like, even if a case arises where you want to add or delete something from my queue.

Thanks for all your help guys! Version 1.5 is ready and I think we are good to go live. You can now logout of your account from the options menu and the database will maintain multiple accounts as long as you don't wait too long between logins. You can also auto delete expired videos automatically.

I tried it today and got a blank queue after the program started so I logged in through a browser and there was a new video in my queue but it required a subscription. I think you need to log in using my credentials so you can code for the scraper to handle it. You should have gotten a PM from me when my user ID and password already but I'll send them again. You can hold on to them for as long as you need them.

I would suggest not deleting the subscription required automatically. You'll need to figure out how to handle them separately since that flag will change as expired ones move roll out of the queue and they roll into non-subscription area. You get the idea...
