Crash when deleting recordings

Hi there, I just started noticing this very frequently. It used to be very rare.

I checked whether the NPVR Recording Service was running and it turns out that it wasn't - the service was set to Automatic, but it was presently stopped.

I then checked some other recordings and it turns out they too failed because the service wasn't running - this was both before and after a reboot, so that's strange.

Once I manually started the service from services.msc, everything seemed to start working fine.

If you notice the recording service isn't running, and you think it might have crashed, zip and attach the logs and I'll check for any signs of an error. You could also check the Windows Event Viewer for info about the service crashing.

One thing I saw the other day was that if a recording is not done recording yet, I get a crash if I use delete to try to cancel the recording early (using the delete key or record button). I then need to restart the recording service. It doesn't crash if I choose the cancel option in the menu.

In the past I used to be able to use a delete key to do a cancel w/o having to enter into the menus.

I didn't get a log (sadly), but if you have trouble reproducing the issue I can try to snag one for you.
