Ok I looked in the specified folder...I found the .png files corresponding to the channel names..and they are actually showing in NPVR. And I managed to get these logos in Kodi too by manual asking the logos folder to point at the C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media\Channels

The thing is there are loads of channels that don't have a logo file there..but when I was using IPTV simple client, it was able to grab the logos for all these channels without a problem.

Why is it that NPVR is unable to grab these logos and out them in the specified folder?

There was an issue in the current release, where nextpvr.exe downloads the channel icons in the background when you do an IPTV 'import'. If you close nextpvr.exe to quickly, that download may not have completed, and the remaining icons are not downloaded. The next release has the recording service do this background icon download, to minimise the channel of the user closing the application before the icon downloads have completed.

Yeah, give it a go. Leave the app running a few minutes after doing the import.

Hi, I am also having the same problem. I have tried replacing the NShared.dll but that didnt change anything. i only have 2 channels from a dvbs source but i have also tried with a variety of size m3u from iptv. each time kodi crashes as it tries to load the channels from npvr. npvr is on the latest version.

grateful for any advice.

thanks!

Post your NPVR logs, and Kodi.log (with debug logging enabled) and we'll take a look.

Spaceboy, those NextPVR logs don't seem to capture Kodi connecting. Can you stop the recording service, delete the files from c:\users\public\npvr\logs, then restart the recording service and reproduce the problem and repost those logs?

hi sub3, i can try again tonight but i reckon that sounds about right. kodi is only open for a second or two before it crashes. its not apparent that any connection is made with npvr

It looks like your kodi.log does show it at least connecting, but the nextpvr logs don't seem to match up with this.
