10578 MHZ transport stream. Default was 60 seconds so did shorter on in case you prefer that!

I just bought a Digibit R1 SAT>IP DVB-S2 tuner and enabled just tuner 1 for testing. TVheadend, TVMosaic and NextPVR V4 scan all the specified transponders and find around the expected number of channels. However NextPVR V5 seems to find channels on around 1 in 4 transponders. A very noticeable thing is that while V5 is scanning using Tuner 1 all 4 tuner lights on the Digibit R1 come on and occasionally one goes out although Tuner 1 is the only one enabled. Each later scan seems to find fewer MUX/Transponders.

Did you try that patch I posted on the previous page? https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid533753

Having installed the Visual C++ Redistributable I now do not need to install the old version before installing the latest version.

At startup after running NextPVRServer.exe I start the web app and select settings there is in the NextPVRServer output a "System.MissingMethodException" which can be seen at line 233 in the log then again at line 336.

It goes on to scan the first 10 transponders. It finds around 70 TV or Radio channels of which around 65 are Free To Air. Repeating scans on this and two other PCs the FTA channel count varies between about 60 and 70. Scanning the same 10 transponders with NextPVR V4 finds 124 FTA channels.

I think when sub uploaded the work-iniprogress nshared it needed an nutility that has that missing function. Since it is trapped I don't think that is causing any scanning issues.

I have done a clean install of the latest V5 version which I can see has improved SAT>IP logging. Enclosed are logs of 2 scans of the first 10 of the around 110 Transponders at 28.2E. About 70 channels are detected of which 6 are encrypted
Below is the result of the same scan on my V4 server which detects all expected 130 FTA channels. For comparison are the channels detected on each transponder from the two V5 scans using the same tuner.

I did add some additional logging that might tell us why.

Can you stop the NextPVR service, start a command prompt, set "NEXTPVR_VERBOSE=true" environment variable, then scan a couple of problem frequencies and post the logs again. This will log some info about the SDT data that is received.

The SDT can come in one or multiple parts. I'm suspecting your broadcaster is using multiple parts, and something is causing it to not always read all the parts. I tried reproducing with the supplied sample transport stream, but it did find all the channels. It's some times difficult to exactly reproduce the live behaviour exactly.

With Verbose logging enabled I did a scan of the three lowest frequencies. In Log1 it found all 12 channels on the first frequency and only 1 of 12 on the second frequency and 1 of 14 on the third frequency. In general the scan of the first transponder has been 100%.

The BBC transponders seem to give less reliable results using V5 so I did a scan of the first 3 transponders used by the BBC. In Log2 it found 11 of 14 channels on 1st frequency , 14 of 20 channels on 2nd  frequency and 9 of 17 channels on 3rd frequency. That is 34 of 51 available channels detected.

I have been using one of the SAT>IP tuners as the first tuner on my V4 server for about a week. It scanned for and found all the channels and has been making successful recordings.

Are you sure you set that environment variable? I can't see any verbose logging included.
