Here it is
Hopefully there isn't any sensitive data inside?

The only thing that is usually sensitive in the db3 file is if the user has IPTV channels, then the username/password for their IPTV provider.

There is only sensitive data for IPTV users.

I have been working with sub on this today and there really is no way to isolate Movies by genre with OTA data since pretty much all series are in the movie/drama category.
Look at your database the majority of shows that are movie/drama are under one hour.

Yes, somehow some shows are tagged as movie... strange...
Nevertheless for now I have extracted the all genres out of the db file and added them into the plugin settings.
I'll see how it will work in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your work so far?

It is not really strange it is the DVB spec for OTA data there is no distinction between movies and shows.

For feature rich EPG data after the new version of NextPVR is out I suggest you get a Schedules Direct trial for Germany and you will be able to see what this looks like.

You might also be able to find xmltv listings that offer better data but SD is so cheap it may not be worth the effort.

Ok you should get art from 5.0.3 if jellyfin doesn't call for the new event files you will need to schedule a guide update.

If you don't have a lot of art from your personal library or don't mind rescanning the cleanest solution is to reset art to new is by deleting library.db and the metadata folder when jellyfin is stopped. jellyfin recreates them on start up.

So, I'm getting the artwork within JF now? (Without deleting the database)

I have noticed that I might have to tweak the genres again as I don't get the "record Series" option for those in the movie category.
But as you said this is nothing from your side...

I have a question regarding the artwork.
For example I don't get a poster for "Navy CIS: L.A.". (I removed it from the shows folder to receive it again a few times)

If I have a look into TheTVDB the original titel is "NCIS: Los Angeles" and the German titel is "Navy CIS: L.A."
Does it only search for the English title and/or is there a setting to change the search language?

Sub removed the word Movie from many of the genres so movies in those genres won't match any longer. The OTA data doesn't work well for movies so if this is a key feature you really should consider better guide data from Schedules Direct

I don't know how sub deals the thetvdb language parameters sorry. SD will also likely provide better matches.

Just to be clear, I only removed the word "Movie" because it was incorrect according to the specification, and causing the wrong shows to appear to be movies. For example, where it previously said "Movie - comedy" was not correct. It is showing up as two genre now, "Movie/Drama" (which could be a movie or a regular tv series) and "Comedy".

Here is a list of the genre that previously these genre incorrectly had "Movie" prefixed to the start their name. Some might be movies, but they're probably more likely to be regular TV series:

"Detective / Thriller"
"Adventure / Western / War"
"Science fiction / Fantasy / Horror"
"Comedy"
"Soap / Melodrama / Folkloric"
"Romance"
"Serious / Classical /Religious / Historical movie / Drama"
"Adult movie / Drama"

There is nothing in the DVB EPG that clearly identifies the content as being a movie. You could possibly guess, based on the duration being greater than 90 minutes and having the "Movie/Drama" genre?

Admittedly NextPVR is quite English centric, but I'm always happy to improve it's support for other languages.

If you want to supply me a copy of your npvr.db3, and point out some good example shows you'd expect to get artwork for, I'll take look and try to get it working.

In the past there was some basic non-english language support for artwork, but it's been a long time since I looked at it, and I don't really remember how it worked.
