Could you imagine if every use posted a question wondering when the next release will be because the don't want to bother to install "today's" release.

Mainly though I did tell you change was in the release and since I am in the pre release group I have a pretty good handle on this.

How would I know you're in the pre-release group?

I didn't ask when the next release would be. I asked if the 7/25 release was the one referred to in a 7/25 as being "in the next few days", since that language is confusing. "In the next few days" doesn't imply today.

I don't install monthly versions of software I use unless it's noted that they either fix a problem I'm having or fix a problem I don't want to have, i.e. security issue. Some software flags you, says "a new release is available", and you go look. NextPVR doesn't do that, and since I had an active issue that sub addressed and said he was going to look at (on 7/25 to me), I couldn't imagine how the software could be changed, tested, and released all in the same day.

I'll install it later today. Do I put the unattended Windows sleep mode back to 2 minutes or leave it at 35?

After changing the setting are your still getting the spurious OnResume() message that is the source of a problem?

To me unattended sleep mode is for short automated updates that don't need to wait for user actions etc. and can activate earlier than the default sleep which is based on your activity. The default 2 minute is a little short sub has to have two wakes to avoid a shutdown before recordings and it wasn't long enough for my automated script to d/l xmltv I used at one time. So the answer is 'it depends'

I have no idea if I'm getting messages like that in the log files, I have no understanding of how to review the log files.  Is there somewhere that explains that?

I just updated to the 7/26 version.  Will be using the app the next 5 or so days (have been traveling), we'll see if it fails again like it was.

I don't see those extra OnResume log message since you made the change so I can speculate that they could be generated by the hidden sleep process and sub was inadvertently killing the tuners when those message came thorough when NextPVR was actually awake.

You need to read the logs a lot to understand them but no there is no documentation.

Is the 7/25 release, same day as this post, that release?
The most recent release includes that fix I was attempting, around sleep/resume, which I think was causing your issue.

The web app tells you in the Settings page if a new release is available.

Thx.  I use the Windows app, but will check every now and then.
