Can NextPVR import TitanTV .TVPI files to schedule a recording

Sure it makes sense to limit it to 10 characters.  Hopefully it doesn't enable viewing OAN which, hankfully it will be dropped from DirectTV in April anyway.

Can you please clarify what "if channel name matches" means  .... Does it mean what is passed as "sation" in the TVPI file matches "name" in the NextPVR channel table ?  I'm still getting the occasional hit and miss during testing and trying to understand why.  Its the "station" tag that is limited to 10 characters in Titan but can be user changed to match the first 10 characters of the NextPVR channel.name.   A lot of my NextPVR names are currently more than 10 characters though.  Thanks.

Did you try the update? It should truncate the NextPVR name (returned from the Channel.LoadAll() API call, not database). It is case sensitive.

Before I share the word, I've been testing it out so that I clearly understand how to configure Titan TV to pair its use with NextPVR. So far I've had much better luck with version 1. My current test is with a file that has channel name HGTV and channel number 3001. When I send it against version 1, it works. When I send it with version 2, it fails. In both tests the MS Command prompt screen is identical. It would be nice if the console portion of the app could provide more info about success failure. Version 1 is nice but needs the compare 10 character channel name in order to make it easy to use. I can't seem to have any success with version 2 yet. Thanks again.

I really like the way Titan and NextPVR work together. I have only found one small issue while testing. My NextPVR channel has a name "Aspire us hd", the first 10 characters woulld be "Aspire us " with a trailing space, but Titan config will not store the trailing space so a match is not found. I edited the TVPI file to add a trailing space and it worked as expected. So maybe space pad both strings to 10 characters before making the comparison ? On Mon or Tues, I will write up a PDF file describing how to configure Titan and NextPVR together and will let you edit/approve it before sharing the word. Thanks again, its a whole new experience being able to schedule recordings from the Titan Tv guide. I especially like their "daily view". Whe you click on the channel name in the guide it goes into daily view and shows you all the shows on that channel for the next week in a grid.

Here try this it will trim spaces from the channel name. 

If you create an markdown md file I will put it on the wiki. A short not how this might benefit American NextPVR users would help too.

I had this scenario come up today using version 3 and version 4 (same results).

Test 1 - Titan Versus NextPVR = (channel number 42 versus 42), (channel name "CTV Comedy" versus "CTV Comedy ca hd"), (show title "The Divorce" versus "Le Divorce" ),(start time & duration the same in both).

I expected the above to record since the channel number and 1st 10 characters of channel name matches but it did not.

Test 2 - I changed the show title in the TVPI file to match with NextPVR EPG ... "Le Divorce" and the show recorded.

Can you please clarify how the matching alogrithm works so I can document it in the write up ? If the title also has to match then its a problem since the 2 epg sources (at least in my case) often have slightly different titles for some shows.

It works as explained don't bother with v  1.0.3.  I'd need the database to be able to check.  Maybe multiple CTV with timezones?

I figure there is an error with 9 character names that would have a space but that is not the case here
