There is so many of them these days, and they're all different clones of each other, that it would be hard to recommend a specific one over another. The one I have isn't available any more, but there there are piles of them on places like amazon / aliexpress like these:

I don't need 4 devices if I keep a colossus 2 then I will only need 2 encoders. I have had issues buying from aliexpress before and like a good warranty. would 2 of these work

I would assume it would work. You might just want to buy one first, so you can confirm, before buying a second one.

They only explicitly mention H265 (HEVC) encoding in the description, but the one of the screenshots show H264 encoding also supported. H264 is preferable for compability.

I have a URay device that is similar and it is OK but I like the picture from my HDPVR better plus AC-3 if you need it. The on you linked only does 1080p 30. not 60 if that is an issue.

I don't think paying extra for HEVC is necessary for broadcast plus AV1 is the future not HEVC.

The page he linked has three models. Two of them say they do 30/60 fps. The other one of them says 30fps (for me this is the right one of the three EH301).

It is a little expensive but it is a uray.

Just wondering when setting it up, does it show up like a hdhomerun or do I manually add it if so how? thanks.

sub, I appoligize for not getting the one I mentioned earlier it is just you never used that model and was guessing it would work. the uray is confirmed to be good by mvallevand

The pages are so messed up on that point and the zero reviews I wouldn't make a recommendation. The E311 is the most like mine https://www.amazon.com/URayCoder-Streami...B07CP3G86L but I can't explain the difference in price with this brand over other other than maybe it is a knock off.
