Thanks for the replies. My credentials work on the gracenote site. I will play around with it more later this weekend. I have a couple theories why I am having issues:

1. I am using portable Perl...
2. ...and I am running the bat/exe from it's own separate folder.
3. I will try running it in the portable Perl folder.
4. If that doesn't work, I will install Perl msi.

I'll report later what works/doesn't work.

Great!  I hope you get it working.  It resolved my issues with SchedulesDirect and it's free so I'm happy about that.

Update:

Got this working. As suspected, using portable Perl was one of the culprits. The other, although I was using mc2xml rather than zap2xml, I still had the host file edited to redirect to whichever old IP I was using at the time...so Gracenote would not load on my browser and running the bat file also would not log in with an error of "User is not authenticated for this action."

Once I removed the redirect in the host file and actually installed Perl, everything worked beautifully! Now I have 2 methods for getting EPG - this one using Zap2xml, and the other I posted about using python to extract xml from my HD Homerun.

Outstanding!  Glad you got it working and thanks for the update.

To use the portbable version you need to start with portableshell.bat. To get it to run without the shell you need to have some dll's in the path so you would need to add them yourself

This assumes you installed the portable version in C:\Strawberry.

Code:
PATH=%PATH%;C:\Strawberry\c\bin;C:\Strawberry\perl\site\bin;C:\Strawberry\perl\bin;
