EPG Update Errors

Graham, I looked around for an example of updateepg.bat that uses epg123 but didn't find anything.

Do you have an example you can post?

I've have to wait until SD forgives me then I'll give it another try.

In v4 you must remember to turn off Schedules Direct art downloading even when using XMLTV.  I am actually quite surprised that NextPVR on its own made 1000 requests for images in 24 hours you might need to clear the error by contacting SD and try and figure out why so many calls are being made.

Thanks for the tip.  I'm not certain it was 1000 requests in 24 hours that caused the lockout.  I assumed the 1000 requests were over a matter of weeks.

This is only the second or third time this has happened and they were weeks apart. 

I did have a ticket created at SD, here is part of their response:

That version of NextPVR is requesting images without presenting the
authentication token, and that's why you were blocked. If you upgrade to the
current version of NextPVR, you will be able to download images again.

On 4/13 the issue resolved but came back about two weeks later.  

I failed to notice Robert's use of the word "images".  Is it the request for downloading of images that causes this lockout?

I have now disabled the d/l of artwork on both my setups, V4 & V7.  

On 4/14 Robert said this about removal of the block:

"Please check now; your IP address was still in the block list (the list is evaluated every 24h, so you would have fallen off sometime today), and I've removed it."

Since I'm no longer requesting "images", I'm hopeful the block will be removed overnight.

There are multiple errors possible with V4 but the 1000 image daily errors seems to be the one you talked about that is why I was so surprised. I can't even imagine how you could force NextPVR to make that many calls perhaps there was an error on their server.

You don't need to disable SD art in v7 it knows about the token requirement.
