I'm getting this same error someone else got with the previous version. The only reply to that person's problem was to "reinstall" and nothing more was said.

I've tried reinstalling to no effect. I've recovered the old GBPVR directory and things seem OK now.

Some background: I had to reinstall Windows2000 because video playback kept freezing the systme on me. So the last two GBPVR installs were fresh.
I installed MDAC 2.7sp1 & .net framework 1.1.

Please Help!!

Nothing wrong with GB-PVR here. It just looks like zap2it was really busy or having problems. After two minutes they havnt acknowledge the request for listings, so request times out.

I am not running (or have ever installed) any of the MVP software.

Not a serious bug, but I thought I'd bring it up.
Yes, this is normal. GB-PVR doesnt display a volume OSD on the MVP.

Superqix, this lack of volume OSD is related to the dongle.bin file that drives the MVP. You can swap it out for an older version to restore this - check the wiki and search the MVP forum for "dongle.bin".

I've just upgraded, but unfortunately I still have the problem of no live tv that I've posted previously.

Incidentally Sub, what happens when you reach your 10,000 post? Are we having a party, or would you prefer us to just send cash? Smile

Thanks for all the effort!

Depending on ther version of the dongle.bin file you have you may or may not have the volume.

I upgraded to the latest beta of the MVP drivers and the voulume went away. After installing the latest 94.12 and unplugging the MVP and pulling the dongle.bin from gbpvr the voulume control is back so I am assuming the dongle.bing is an older one that still contained the on-screen volume.

I belive even the current production level of the MVP software no longer shows the volume.

sub...you mentioned in one of the recent upgrades that you must be using the most recent version of the MVP software for the transcode process to work correctly. I am assuming the dongle.bin that is included with the install is new enough to support the changes....correct?

Post a full set of logs to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look. Note the time you tried to start live tv so I know where to look.

tipstir Wrote:Hey Darx, quick question? How do you find using Serial ATA with GBPVR over Ultra ATA drives faster or just the same?

You don't have have use the other updates between 93.10 to goto 94.12, just install it!

Hi Tipstr. Not seen any speed improvements with SATA drives. Love the XMEDIA BTW, great skins.
