What does the clear-cache option do exactly?

Thanks.

Yahoo stores the downloaded epg files in the following directory:
Vista: C:\ProgramData\Yahoo!\Go\TV\library\tv\temp
Pre-Vista: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Yahoo!\Go\TV\library\tv\temp

The clear-cache option just cleans out that temp directory before downloading the new listings. Go 4 Tv seems to just let the files accumilate.

Thanks for the info whurlston.

I'll have to check that directory and see if I need to do some house cleaning!

For anyone getting tired of the Y! data reliablility, Schedules Direct is now $15 for 6 months ($2.50/mo).

You mean of course LACK OF reliability! I tried it again last night, and where it worked a couple weeks ago when I first set it up, last night I was getting "empty" messages.

So I set-up xmltv with SD late last night and will see if it works as expected--if yes I will likely succumb to (especially the new) pricing!

That is really good news, I think that price is down to the point that I will sign up for SD. Not that the Y! tool has not been working great, but I would like to support the community and get reliable schedule info. Whurlston, thank you for all your effort and support to help us get through this transition period.

I assume the i-xmltv tool has been ported to SD as well?

lajams, I haven't been able to get any listings for my area for the past 48 hours. I'm not sure if Y! is still providing them or not. I will continue to try for the next few days.
