I dont know how you guys value your time, but I'd rather cough up the $15 than spend hours/days trying to get it sorted, only to find listings still arent being reliably downloaded.

(sorry - couldnt help but comment)

Will SD work on v0.99.12?

You can use XMLTv to download your lineup and have GB-PVR import it.

Not wanting to pay for Tivo guide is why I decided to build my own HTPC's in the first place. I'm surprised by that comment Sub. I mean after all, wouldn't just getting a DVR be a lot less hassle and time than building and maintaining a GB-PVR system? I only speak for myself, but I won't go the SD route unless it is my last and only option. Was the same feelings I had about DVR-Tivo which led me to GBPVR.
system 1 - PVR-250 and HVR-1600

system 2 - PVR-150 and HVR-1600

Probably, but there are tradeoffs.
  1. 160GB non-upgradable hard drive.
  2. No client/server capabilities.
  3. Does not play (HD-)DVDs.
  4. VERY limited customization.
  5. No automatic commercial skipping.
  6. Wife constantly asking how do I switch to [insert source component here].

Besides, my cable company charges a LOT more than $2.50/month for a cable box.

I'm down to only 7 days of show data. This has been a day-by-day drop. Over the past 6 days I've gone down from 13 days by 1 day each day.

Anyone see the same thing?

Thanks.

PS This is the same amount of days I see if I go into the Y4TV app.

[EDIT]

I dug a little and went into the directory that whutlston mentioned a few postings up from this one. There were only a few files there and each was only 1kb in size. Since this is where the listings are to be downloaded, these small file sizes seemed odd. I opened one with Notepad and there was only a single (1) show listed!

I then went in to YG4TV and deleted my lineup. I then went in a re-created the line up and downloaded the listings. Guess what? Only one listing was in the download. I guess YG4TV kept using the latest *full* file before I had deleted the lineup.

I then went to YG4TV's web site of TV listings (http://tv.yahoo.com/listings) and entered my zipcode. Guess what? The listings to chose from there are *different* than those available through the YG4TV application wizard that we are using with this EPG grabber. The source that the wizard offers is only downloading a single listing.

I wonder if the listings that are not available via the wizard are the source of the lack of data problem? Is there a way to get the listings in the wizard corrected/fixed/ammended (I'm not really sure what)?

Just thinking out loud...

Yahoo changed providers. For Go 4 TV to use the new provder, Yahoo will have to issue a new build. It doesn't look like they are working on it. It looks like they are just going to let Go 4 TV die (and have been for some time now).

If you still had 7 days of data, then you got about 2 weeks more than most people.

Does this, in turn, mean the death of YahooTMLTv (the subject of this entire posting thread)?

Yes, along with YApi2Xml and any other grabber based on that data source.
