I'll just post the beta here. Cape-City, hopefully this may show your Event log problem, or al least allow to to get around it.

With the XML viewer, this is how I've rendered the Temps, In the config add the MBM log file then choose one of the Log elements.

You can have mulitples in there, as long as they have different names.

2006-Jan-16 : 3.5 - BETA 1 - XML Viewer
  • Added a configurable XMl viewer to select an XML file, and a starting element to display. Was originally just to display MBM Interval log files.
  • Added logging and error trapping around the event viewer
  • Added deletable screens, i.e. you can now choose whether to display Drives, EPG, Logs etc.

I am getting an error when attempting to add the xml file from within config.

I open the config screen for the SystemStatus plugin, ensure all items are selected on the main tab, Select the XML Reader tab, Type in "Temps" for the title, Browse for and select the MBM 5 interval log.xml file and *boom* I get an error "the root element is missing".

I copied over the plugin files into the plugin folder, and the items in the BlueMCE2 to the BlueMCE2 folder.

Am I missing something? I notice that the Blue folder has two extra png files but I assume that I do not need those and there is nothing else to copy over.

Here is the exception log...

Ahhh my bad... upon further investigation I found that the XML file was empty... turns out I turned the logging off and was only using the screen display.

BTW: how does one remove the items in the XML Viewer once they are added?

Thanks again Smile

hmm, I guess that's why it's a beta. I'm not sure I have a remove yet.

you could edit config.xml look for the system status stuff. It's pretty obvious.....just take a BACKUP first!!!!

Okay I removed the XML items from the config.xml including the opening and closing tags and she worked like a charm. BTW if you don't remove the tags and you just have an opening and closing tag... you will get errors.

Thanks for you help I got it working like a charm now Wink
